Abstract

A slider for sealing and unsealing a storage bag. A first sidewall extends along a length of the slider. A second sidewall extends along the length of the slider. A top wall connects the first and second sidewall. The top wall is positioned on only one side of a center of the length of the slider. A first pressing leg is positioned adjacent to one end of the top wall. A second pressing leg is positioned adjacent to the one end of the top wall and adjacent to the first pressing leg. A separating leg extends adjacent to a second end of the top wall.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
We claim:

1 . A slider for sealing and unsealing a storage bag, the slider comprising:
a first sidewall extending along a length of the slider; a second sidewall extending along the length of the slider; a top wall connecting the first and second side-walls, the top wall being positioned on only one side of a center of the length of the slider; a first pressing leg positioned adjacent to one end of the top wall; a second pressing leg positioned adjacent to the one end of the top wall and adjacent to the first pressing leg; and a separating leg extending adjacent to a second end of the top wall.

2 . The slider according to claim 1 , wherein the first and second pressing legs are connected to the top wall.

3 . The slider according to claim 2 , wherein the first pressing leg is connected to the first sidewall, and the second pressing leg is connected to the second sidewall.

4 . The slider according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a first guide leg extending from the first sidewall at a position adjacent to a first end of the slider; a second guide leg extending from the first sidewall at a position spaced from the first end and a second end of the slider; a first guide leg extending from the second sidewall at a position adjacent to the first end of the slider and adjacent to the first guide leg extending from the first sidewall; and a second guide leg extending from the second sidewall at a position spaced from the first and second ends of the slider and adjacent to the second guide leg extending from the first sidewall.

5 . The slider according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a plurality of ridges extending from the first sidewall, wherein the plurality of ridges extends further from the first sidewall at the ends of the slider than at a position at the center of the length of the slider; and a plurality of ridges extending from the second sidewall, wherein the plurality of ridges extends further from the second sidewall at the ends of the slider than at a position at the center of the length of the slider.

6 . A slider according to claim 1 , wherein the first and second sidewalls have a curved profile as viewed from the ends of the slider.

7 . A slider for use with a closure mechanism of a bag, the slider comprising:
a first sidewall extending along a length of the slider; a second sidewall extending along the length of the slider; a top wall connecting the first and second sidewalls; a first guide leg extending from the first sidewall at a position adjacent to a first end of the slider; a second guide leg extending from the first sidewall at a position spaced from the first end of the slider; a first guide leg extending from the second sidewall at a position adjacent to the first end of the slider and adjacent to the first guide leg of the first sidewall and a second guide leg extending from the second sidewall at a position spaced from the first end of the slider and adjacent to the second guide leg of the first sidewall, wherein the first guide leg of the first sidewall and the first guide leg of the second sidewall are positioned closer to a center of the length of the slider than to the second end of the slider.

8 . The slider according to claim 7 , wherein the second guide legs of the first and second sidewalls are offset from the center of a length of the slider.

9 . The slider according to claim 7 , wherein the top wall extends from a position adjacent to the center of the length of the slider towards the first end of the slider.

10 . The slider according to claim 7 , wherein the top wall is positioned on only one side of the center of the length of the slider.

11 . The slider according to claim 7 , further comprising:
a plurality of ridges extending from the first sidewall, wherein the plurality of ridges extends further from the first sidewall at the ends of the slider than at a position at the center of the length of the slider; and a plurality of ridges extending from the second sidewall, wherein the plurality of ridges extends further from the second sidewall at the ends of the slider than at a position at the center of the length of the slider.

12 . A slider according to claim 7 , wherein the first and second sidewalls have a curved profile as viewed from the ends of the slider.
