Abstract

An apparatus and method are provided for managing XDM service information in an XDM client included in a user terminal of an OMA system. The apparatus includes a controller for creating a shared URI list including a static reference handle value for indicating the shared URI list, transmitting the shared URI list to a shared XDMS for storage as a reference for service information corresponding to a plurality of OMA services in accordance with the static reference handle value, and changing the at least one piece of the service information; a receiving device for receiving the request to create the shared URI list; and a transmitting device for transmitting the shared URI list to the shared XDMS. The service information includes at least one of RLS service information, PoC service information, and XDM service information.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An apparatus for managing eXtensible Markup Language (XML) Document Management (XDM) service information in an XDM client included in a user terminal of an Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) system, the apparatus comprising:
 a controller for creating a shared User Resource Identifier (URI) list including a static reference handle value for indicating the shared URI list, in response to a request to create the shared URI list, transmitting the shared URI list to a shared XDM Server (XDMS) for storage as a reference for service information corresponding to a plurality of OMA services in accordance with the static reference handle value, which is not changed even after at least one piece of the service information is changed, and changing the at least one piece of the service information;   a receiving device for receiving the request to create the shared URI list; and   a transmitting device for transmitting the shared URI list to the shared XDMS,   wherein the service information includes at least one of Resource List Server (RLS) service information, Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) service information, and XDM service information.   
     
     
         2 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the controller creates the service information using the static reference handle value; and
 wherein the transmitting device transmits the service information to each XDM server for a corresponding service.   
     
     
         3 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the controller creates the PoC service information, used to provide a PoC group service, referring to the shared URI list by using the static reference handle value of the shared URI list, and transmits the PoC service information to a PoC XDMS. 
     
     
         4 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the static reference handle value includes a random value. 
     
     
         5 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the shared URI list is created using an XML Configuration Access Protocol (XCAP). 
     
     
         6 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the receiving device receives an error message, if the XDM client proposes creation of the shared URI list without the static reference handle value from an XDMS. 
     
     
         7 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the static reference handle value includes a name attribute of the shared URI list. 
     
     
         8 . An apparatus for managing eXtensible Markup Language (XML) Document Management (XDM) service information in a shared XDM Server (XDMS) included in an Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) system, the apparatus comprising:
 a controller for creating a shared Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) list as a reference for service information corresponding to a plurality of OMA services in accordance with the static reference handle value, storing a shared URI list, requesting a XDM client to create the shared URI list as the reference for service information corresponding to the plurality of OMA services, which is not changed even after at least one piece of the service information is changed;   a transmitting device for transmitting a requesting message for creating the shared URI list;   a receiving device for receiving the service information corresponding to a plurality of OMA services referring to the shared URI list; and   a storage device for storing the shared URI list as the reference for the service information corresponding to the plurality of OMA services and the service information,   wherein the service information includes at least one of Resource List Server (RLS) service information, Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) service information, and XDM service information.   
     
     
         9 . The apparatus of  claim 8 , wherein the transmitting device transmits an error message, if the XDM client proposes creation of the shared URI list without the static reference handle value from the XDMS. 
     
     
         10 . The apparatus of  claim 8 , wherein the static reference handle value includes a name attribute of the shared URI list. 
     
     
         11 . The apparatus of  claim 8 , wherein the receiving device receives the RLS service information referring to the shared URI list, and the storage device stores the RLS service information. 
     
     
         12 . The apparatus of  claim 8 , wherein the receiving device receives the PoC service information referring to the shared URI list, and the storage device stores the PoC service information. 
     
     
         13 . The apparatus of  claim 8 , wherein the transmitting device transmits a request to change the shared URI list, and
 wherein the receiving device receives changed content of the shared URI list to the shared XDMS, upon receipt of the request to change the shared URI list.   
     
     
         14 . The apparatus of  claim 8 , wherein the static reference handle value is randomly created. 
     
     
         15 . A method for managing eXtensible Markup Language (XML) Document Management (XDM) service information in an XDM client included in a user terminal of an Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) system, the method comprising:
 receiving, at the XDM client, a request to create a shared Uniform Reference Identifier (URI) list to be stored in a shared XDM Server (XDMS);   creating, by the XDM client, the shared URI list including the static reference handle value for identifying the shared URI list, in response to the request;   transmitting the shared URI list from the XDM client to the shared XDMS for storage as a reference for service information corresponding to a plurality of OMA services in accordance with the static reference handle value, which is not changed even after at least one piece of the service information is changed; and   changing the at least one piece of the service information,   wherein the service information includes at least one of Resource List Server (RLS) service information, Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) service information, and XDM service information.   
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 15 , further comprising receiving an error message, if the XDM client proposes creation of the shared URI list without a static reference handle value from an XDMS. 
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 15 , wherein the static reference handle value includes a name attribute of the shared URI list. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 15 , wherein the static reference handle value is randomly created. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 15 , further comprising transmitting the created shared URI list to the shared XDMS. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 15 , further comprising:
 creating the service information using the static reference handle value; and   transmitting the service information to each XDMS for corresponding service.   
     
     
         21 . The method of  claim 15 , further comprising transmitting changed content of the shared URI list to a shared XDMS, upon receipt of a request to change the shared URI list. 
     
     
         22 . The method of  claim 15 , wherein the static reference handle value conforms to uniqueness constraints in an XML Configuration Access Protocol (XCAP). 
     
     
         23 . The method of  claim 15 , wherein the static reference handle value is used as a reference handle of an external element and a resource-list element in the shared URI list. 
     
     
         24 . A method for managing eXtensible Markup Language (XML) Document Management (XDM) service information in an XDM client included in a user terminal of an Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) system, the method comprising:
 receiving, at the XDM client, a request to create a shared URI list to be stored in a shared XDM Server (XDMS);   creating, by the XDM client, the shared URI list including a list name;   statically fixing the list name of the shared URI list by the XDM client;   transmitting the shared URI list including the statically fixed list name from the XDM client to the shared XDMS for storage as a reference for service information corresponding to a plurality of OMA services in accordance with the statically fixed list name, which is not changed even after at least one piece of the service information is changed; and   changing the at least one piece of the service information,   wherein the service information includes at least one of Resource List Server (RLS) service information, Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) service information, and XDM service information.   
     
     
         25 . The method of  claim 24 , further comprising receiving an error message, if the XDM client proposes creation of the shared URI list without a list name from an XDMS. 
     
     
         26 . A method for managing eXtensible Markup Language (XML) Document Management (XDM) service information in an XDM client included in a user terminal of an Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) system, the method comprising:
 receiving, by the XDM client, a request to create a shared URI list including an entry element to be stored in a shared XDM Server (XDMS);   creating, by the XDM client, the shared URI list including the entry element having a unique identifier;   statically fixing the unique identifier of the entry element by the XDM client;   transmitting the shared URI list including the statically fixed unique identifier of the entry element from the XDM client to the shared XDMS for storage as a reference for service information corresponding to a plurality of OMA services in accordance with the statically fixed unique identifier, which is not changed after at least one piece of the service information is changed; and   changing the at least one piece of the service information,   wherein the service information includes at least one of Resource List Server (RLS) service information, Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) service information, and XDM service information.   
     
     
         27 . The method of  claim 26 , further comprising receiving an error message, if the XDM client proposes creation of the shared URI list without a unique identifier from an XDMS.
