Abstract
A portable terminal having a Bluetooth module and a Bluetooth communication method between the portable terminal and a device having a Bluetooth module are provided. The method includes determining whether the portable terminal receives a signal from the device in a call history viewing mode, during Bluetooth communication between the portable terminal and the device, wherein the signal is generated as a volume control key of the device is operated. The method also includes scrolling and displaying the call history, in the portable terminal, according to the received signal. The call history can be searched for in the portable terminal by using a volume control key of a headset or a hands-free accessory, which is linked to the portable terminal via Bluetooth communication, thereby providing users with a convenient mode of operation.

1 . A method comprising:
receiving, at a first device, a first signal from a second device, the first signal corresponding to an input detected via the second device; selecting, at the first device, information corresponding to an application based on at least one part of the first signal; and transmitting a second signal from the first device to the second device in response to the selecting of the information such that an audio signal corresponding to the information can be presented via the second device based on at least one part of the second signal.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the selecting of the information comprises displaying at least one portion of the information via a display operatively coupled to the first device.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the displaying of the at least one portion of the information comprises displaying the at least one portion based on at least one part of the input.
4 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the displaying of the at least one portion of the information comprises highlighting the at least one portion of the information.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second signal comprises at least a portion of the audio signal.
6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising performing, by the first device, a function corresponding to the information based on at least one part of the input and another input from the second device.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the audio signal comprises a voice signal.
8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the transmitting of the second signal comprises generating, at the first device, the voice signal based on at least one part of the information.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the transmitting of the second signal comprises generating a compensating value to be used by the second device to compensate for a change in a state associated with the second device.
10 . An apparatus for transmitting a signal to another device, the apparatus comprising:
a memory to store a set of information corresponding to an application; and a controller operatively coupled to the memory, the controller configured to:
receive a first signal from an electronic device external to the apparatus, the first signal corresponding to an input detected via the electronic device;
select at least one part of the set of information based on at least one part of the first signal; and
transmit a second signal to the electronic device such that an audio signal corresponding to the at least one part of the set of information is outputable via the electronic device based on at least one part of the second signal.
11 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the electronic device comprises a wearable device.
12 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the controller is configured to generate a compensating value used by the electronic device to compensate for a change in a state associated with the electronic device.
13 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the audio signal comprises a voice signal.
14 . The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the controller is configured to generate at least one part of the voice signal based on the at least one part of the set of information.
15 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the controller is configured to perform a function corresponding to the at least one part of the set of information.
16 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the function comprises at least one of initiating a call, reading a memo, and editing a schedule.
17 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the controller is configured to transmit the audio signal to the electronic device based on a determination that a voice output mode is set in the apparatus.
18 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the controller is configured to output a voice corresponding to at least one part of the audio signal.
19 . A wearable device comprising:
a speaker; and a controller operatively coupled to the speaker, the controller configured to:
transmit a first signal to a mobile communication device external to the wearable device, the first signal corresponding to an input detected via the wearable device;
receive a second signal from the mobile communication device, the second signal generated based on at least one part of information corresponding to an application, the at least one part of the information being selected at the mobile communication device based on at least one part of the first signal; and
output, via the speaker, an audio signal corresponding to the at least one part of the information and based on at least one part of the second signal.
