Abstract

Disclosed herein are nutritional substance labels that communicate in a format allowing retrieval of adaptive conditioning instructions unique to an individual nutritional product at the time of conditioning and intended to optimize a nutritional, organoleptic, or aesthetic value targeted by the transformer.

2 . A nutritional substance product label system according to claim 1 wherein said information storage means further comprises an RFID tag, a magnetically readable label, or an optically readable label containing the one or more adaptive conditioning sequences.

3 . A nutritional substance product label system according to claim 1 wherein said information storage means further comprises an RFID tag, a magnetically readable label, or an optically readable label containing a unique identifier referenced to a database containing the one or more adaptive conditioning sequences.

4 . A nutritional substance product label system according to claim 1 wherein consumer input enables selection of a particular adaptive conditioning sequence from the one or more adaptive conditioning sequences.

5 . A nutritional substance product label system according to claim 1 wherein said information storage means further comprises the nutritional or organoleptic value associated with each of the one or more adaptive conditioning sequences.

6 . A nutritional substance product label system, said system comprising:
an information storage means providing dynamic reference to one or more adaptive conditioning sequences for a transformed nutritional substance; and a transformer of the transformed nutritional substance, the one or more adaptive conditioning sequences, target nutritional or organoleptic values associated with each of the one or more adaptive conditioning sequences being determined by the transformer through calculation using a nutritional or organoleptic value of the transformed nutritional substance following transformation; and an adaptive conditioning sequence response means responsive to one or more attribute values sensed during conditioning and corresponding to the nutritional or organoleptic value of the nutritional substance during conditioning for adaptively altering the conditioning to preserve nutritional or organoleptic values of the nutritional substance being conditioned.

7 . A nutritional substance product label system according to claim 6 wherein said information storage means further comprises an RFID tag, a magnetically readable label, or an optically readable label containing the one or more adaptive conditioning sequences.

8 . A nutritional substance product label system according to claim 6 wherein said information storage means further comprises an RFID tag, a magnetically readable label, or an optically readable label containing a unique identifier referenced to a database containing the one or more adaptive conditioning sequences.

9 . A nutritional substance product label system according to claim 6 wherein consumer input enables selection of a particular adaptive conditioning sequence from the one or more adaptive conditioning sequences.

10 . A nutritional substance product label system according to claim 6 wherein said information storage means further comprises the target nutritional or organoleptic value associated with each of the one or more adaptive conditioning sequences.

11 . A method of providing a nutritional substance product for adaptive conditioning, said method comprising the steps of:
transforming a nutritional substance; and determining one or more adaptive conditioning sequences and a nutritional or organoleptic value associated with each of the one or more adaptive conditioning sequences by conditioning the transformed nutritional substance or representative samples of the transformed nutritional substance; and associating each of the one or more adaptive conditioning sequences with an adaptive conditioning sequence response means responsive to one or more attribute values sensed during conditioning and corresponding to the nutritional or organoleptic value of the nutritional substance during conditioning for adaptively altering the conditioning to preserve nutritional or organoleptic values of the nutritional substance being conditioned; and providing the transformed nutritional substance with an information storage means for dynamic reference to the one or more adaptive conditioning sequences.

12 . A method of providing a nutritional substance product for adaptive conditioning according to claim 11 , wherein providing said information storage means comprises providing an RFID tag, a magnetically readable label, or an optically readable label containing the one or more adaptive conditioning sequences.

13 . A method of providing a nutritional substance product for adaptive conditioning according to claim 11 , wherein providing said information storage means comprises providing a database containing the one or more adaptive conditioning sequences and further comprises providing an RFID tag, a magnetically readable label, or an optically readable label containing a unique identifier referenced to the database containing the one or more adaptive conditioning sequences.

14 . A method of providing a nutritional substance product for adaptive conditioning according to claim 11 , wherein providing said information storage means comprises storing the nutritional or organoleptic value associated with each of the one or more adaptive conditioning sequences.

15 . A method of providing a nutritional substance product for adaptive conditioning according to claim 11 further comprising the step of:
obtaining consumer input to enable selection of a particular adaptive conditioning sequence from the one or more adaptive conditioning sequences.

16 . A method of providing a nutritional substance product for adaptive conditioning, said method comprising the steps of:
transforming a nutritional substance and determining a post transformation nutritional or organoleptic value; and targeting one or more target post conditioning nutritional or organic values for the transformed nutritional substance and determining an adaptive conditioning sequence for each of the target post conditioning nutritional or organoleptic values through calculation using the post transformation nutritional or organoleptic value; and associating each of the adaptive conditioning sequences with an adaptive conditioning sequence response means responsive to one or more attribute values sensed during conditioning and corresponding to the nutritional or organoleptic value of the nutritional substance during conditioning for adaptively altering the conditioning to preserve nutritional or organoleptic values of the nutritional substance being conditioned; and providing the transformed nutritional substance with an information storage means for dynamic reference to the adaptive conditioning sequences.
