Abstract

A desired image is quickly retrieved from stored images. Reproduced images are horizontally arranged on time axis. Horizontal lines are displayed above the plurality of images and delimited every image group such that images belonging to the same image group are visually identified. Dots are displayed on individual lines corresponding to representative images P 11 and P 12 belonging to individual image groups. Photographed dates and times are displayed only on representative images P 11 and P 21 belonging to image groups. A plurality of reproduced images are simultaneously displayed on an LCD 13. Among these reproduced images, representative images are identifiably displayed. When a desired image is selected from reproduced images, left and right feed buttons of a cross key 27 are pressed and representative images belonging to individual image groups are selected. When a dial key 28 is rotated, a desired image is selected from images belonging to the selected image group.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A display control apparatus comprising:
 control unit configured to
initiate a display of at least one image belonging to a first image group in a first state, and initiate a display of at least one image belonging to a second image group in a second state, and
in response to receiving an instruction representing a group feed operation in the first state, initiate a change from the first state to the second state via a transition state in which the at least one image belonging to the first image group is displayed to slide along a predetermined direction.

2 . The display control apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the at least one image belonging to the first image group is arranged for display along a display axis, the display axis being disposed along the predetermined direction.

3 . The display control apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the at least one image belonging to the first image group is arranged for display in a sequential order along the display axis.

4 . The display control apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first image group and the second image group are each identifiably displayed.

5 . The display control apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the control unit is further configured to initiate a display of a first window surrounding the at least one image belonging to the first image group, and initiate a display of a second window surrounding the at least one image belonging to the second image group.

6 . The display control apparatus of claim 5 , wherein the first window is displayed in a first color and the second window is displayed in a second color, the first color being different than the second color.

7 . The display control apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the control unit is further configured to initiate a superimposition of a first icon on each of the at least one image belonging to the first image group, and initiate a superimposition of a second icon on each of the at least one image belonging to the second image group, the first icon being different than the second icon.

8 . The display control apparatus of claim 1 , wherein a respective representative image of each of the first image group and the second image group are identifiably displayed.

9 . The display control apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the transition state comprises a display of an animation.

10 . The display control apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the animation comprises a display of the at least one image belonging to the first image group to slide out from a displayed region and into a non displayed region, along the predetermined direction.

         11 . A display control apparatus comprising:
 control unit configured to
initiate a display of at least one image belonging to a first image group in a first state, and initiate a display of at least one image belonging to a second image group in a second state, and
in response to receiving an instruction representing a group feed operation in the first state, initiate a change from the first state to the second state via a transition state in which the at least one image belonging to the second image group is displayed to slide along a predetermined direction.

12 . The display control apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the at least one image belonging to the second image group is arranged for display along a display axis, the display axis being disposed along the predetermined direction.

13 . The display control apparatus of claim 12 , wherein the at least one image belonging to the second image group is arranged for display in a sequential order along the display axis.

14 . The display control apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the first image group and the second image group are each identifiably displayed.

15 . The display control apparatus of claim 14 , wherein the control unit is further configured to initiate a display of a first window surrounding the at least one image belonging to the first image group, and initiate a display of a second window surrounding the at least one image belonging to the second image group.

16 . The display control apparatus of claim 15 , wherein the first window is displayed in a first color and the second window is displayed in a second color, the first color being different than the second color.

17 . The display control apparatus of claim 14 , wherein the control unit is further configured to initiate a superimposition of a first icon on each of the at least one image belonging to the first image group, and initiate a superimposition of a second icon on each of the at least one image belonging to the second image group, the first icon being different than the second icon.

18 . The display control apparatus of claim 11 , wherein a respective representative image of each of the first image group and the second image group are identifiably displayed.

19 . The display control apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the transition state comprises a display of an animation.

20 . The display control apparatus of claim 19 , wherein the animation comprises a display of the at least one image belonging to the second image group to slide out from a non-displayed region and into a displayed region, along the predetermined direction.
