Abstract

A response down-trend level applicable to a user may be determined based on the user's responses to one or more medication reminders. Different levels of the response down-trend may be associated one or more different parties to alert. The particular parties to alert may be determined based upon the current response down-trend level associated with the user. The response-down trend level associated with a user may be determined by calculating a response-down trend value based on the user's responses to one or more medication reminders and comparing the response-down trend value to one or more threshold value of one or more response-down trend levels. In response to determining that a user has reached a particular response-down-trend level, a party associated with the particular response-down-trend level is contacted.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
causing a medication reminder to be sent to a user; determining that a satisfactory response to the medication reminder was not received; based at least in part on the determination that a satisfactory response to the medication reminder was not received, associating the user with a particular response down-trend value; comparing the particular response down-trend value with a threshold value of a particular response down-trend level; based on the comparison of the particular response down-trend value with the threshold value of the particular response down-trend level, determining that the particular response down-trend level is reached by the user; in response to the determination that the particular response down-trend level is reached by the user, automatically sending an alert to a party associated with the particular response down-trend level.

2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the medication reminder is a first medication reminder, the user is a first user, the particular response-down trend value is a first response-down trend value, the particular response-down trend level is a first response-down trend level, the party is a first party, the alert is a first alert, the computer-implemented method further comprising:
causing a second medication reminder to be sent to the user; determining that a satisfactory response to the second medication reminder was not received; based at least in part on the determination that a satisfactory response to the second medication reminder was not received, associating the user with a second response down-trend value; comparing the second response down-trend value with a threshold value of a second response down-trend level, wherein the threshold value of the second response down-trend level is different than the threshold value of the first response-down trend value; based on the comparison of the second response down-trend value with the threshold value of a second response down-trend level, determining that the second response down-trend level is reached by the user; in response to the determination that the second response down-trend level is reached by the user, automatically sending a second alert to a second party associated with the particular response down-trend level, wherein the second response down-trend level is associated with at least one party not associated with the particular response down-trend level.

3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein the second response-down trend level is associated with one or more of a physician or a pharmacist and the first response-down trend level is not with the physician or the pharmacist.

4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein the first response-down trend level is associated with a different alert than the second response-down trend level.

5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the alert indicates the user's risk of complications.

6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein the second alert indicates a greater risk of complications than a risk of complications indicated by the first alert.

7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the alert is sent to the party via one or more of email or a cell phone.

8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein user is associated with the particular response down-trend value based in part on responses to multiple medication reminders sent over multiple days.

9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the alert instructs the party on how to interact with the user.

10 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the party is the user.

11 . One or more non-transitory storage media storing instructions which, when executed by one or more computing devices, cause:
causing a medication reminder to be sent to a user; determining that a satisfactory response to the medication reminder was not received; based at least in part on the determination that a satisfactory response to the medication reminder was not received, associating the user with a particular response down-trend value; comparing the particular response down-trend value with a threshold value of a particular response down-trend level; based on the comparison of the particular response down-trend value with the threshold value of the particular response down-trend level, determining that the particular response down-trend level is reached by the user; in response to the determination that the particular response down-trend level is reached by the user, automatically sending an alert to a party associated with the particular response down-trend level.

12 . The one or more non-transitory storage media of claim 11 , wherein the medication reminder is a first medication reminder, the user is a first user, the particular response-down trend value is a first response-down trend value, the particular response-down trend level is a first response-down trend level, the party is a first party, the alert is a first alert, the storage media storing instructions which, when executed by one or more computing devices, further cause:
causing a second medication reminder to be sent to the user; determining that a satisfactory response to the second medication reminder was not received; based at least in part on the determination that a satisfactory response to the second medication reminder was not received, associating the user with a second response down-trend value; comparing the second response down-trend value with a threshold value of a second response down-trend level, wherein the threshold value of the second response down-trend level is different than the threshold value of the first response-down trend value; based on the comparison of the second response down-trend value with the threshold value of a second response down-trend level, determining that the second response down-trend level is reached by the user; in response to the determination that the second response down-trend level is reached by the user, automatically sending a second alert to a second party associated with the particular response down-trend level, wherein the second response down-trend level is associated with at least one party not associated with the particular response down-trend level.

13 . The one or more non-transitory storage media of claim 12 , wherein the second response-down trend level is associated with one or more of a physician or a pharmacist and the first response-down trend level is not with the physician or the pharmacist.

14 . The one or more non-transitory storage media of claim 12 , wherein the first response-down trend level is associated with a different alert than the second response-down trend level.

15 . The one or more non-transitory storage media of claim 11 , wherein the alert indicates the user's risk of complications.

16 . The one or more non-transitory storage media of claim 12 , wherein the second alert indicates a greater risk of complications than a risk of complications indicated by the first alert.

17 . The one or more non-transitory storage media of claim 11 , wherein the alert is sent to the party via one or more of email or a cell phone.

18 . The one or more non-transitory storage media of claim 11 , wherein user is associated with the particular response down-trend value based in part on responses to multiple medication reminders sent over multiple days.
