Abstract

The present disclosure provides a device for transmitting focused acoustic energy from a tissue surface of a face of a user to at least one sinus. The device includes a power supply; a signal source configured to provide a waveform of at least 20 kHz that is configured to increase a flow of fluid from the at least one sinus; and a transducer connected to the power supply and the signal source, the transducer configured to contact a medium applied to the tissue surface of the face and transmit the waveform through the medium and the tissue surface of the face to the at least one sinus.

44 . A device for transmitting focused acoustic energy from a tissue surface of a face of a user to at least one sinus, the device comprising:
a power supply; a signal source configured to provide a waveform of at least 20 kHz that is configured to increase a flow of fluid from the at least one sinus; and a transducer connected to the power supply and the signal source, the transducer configured to contact a medium applied to the tissue surface of the face and transmit the waveform through the medium and the tissue surface of the face to the at least one sinus.

45 . The device of claim 44 , wherein the power supply includes a battery.

46 . The device of claim 44 , wherein the power supply includes a converter configured to convert AC power to DC power.

47 . The device of claim 44 , wherein the transducer is a patch attached to the power supply with a flexible member.

48 . The device of claim 44 , wherein the signal source is configured to modulate between waveforms of different frequencies.

49 . A device for transmitting focused acoustic energy from a tissue surface of a face of a user to at least one sinus, the device comprising:
a power supply; a signal source configured to provide a waveform of at least 20 kHz that is configured to reduce local infections within the at least one sinus; and a transducer connected to the power supply and the signal source, the transducer configured to contact a medium applied to the tissue surface of the face and transmit the waveform through the medium and the tissue surface of the face to the at least one sinus.

50 . The device of claim 49 , wherein the power supply includes a battery.

51 . The device of claim 49 , wherein the power supply includes a converter configured to convert AC power to DC power.

52 . The device of claim 49 , wherein the transducer is a patch attached to the power supply with a flexible member.

53 . The device of claim 49 , wherein the signal source is configured to modulate between waveforms of different frequencies.

54 . The device of claim 49 , wherein the waveform is further configured to alleviate localized pain within the face.

55 . The device of claim 49 , wherein the waveform is configured to increase a flow of fluid from the at least one sinus.

56 . The device of claim 49 , wherein the waveform is configured to change a pH in the at least one sinus.

57 . A device for transmitting focused acoustic energy from a tissue surface of a face of a user to at least one sinus, the device comprising:
a power supply; a signal source configured to provide a waveform of at least 20 kHz configured to alleviate localized pain within the face; and a transducer connected to the power supply and the signal source, the transducer configured to contact a medium applied to the tissue surface of the face and transmit the waveform through the medium and the tissue surface of the face to the at least one sinus.

58 . The device of claim 57 , wherein the power supply includes a battery.
