Abstract

Methods, computer systems, and computer storage media are provided for sorting and presenting a patient's medication order information by body system. A selection of a body system filter directed to a body system is received, and the patient's medication order information is accessed. The selected body system filter is applied to the patient's medication order information to generate a set of body-system specific medication order information. The body-system specific medication order information is presented on a body system view user interface

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . One or more computer storage media having computer-executable instruction embodied thereon that, when executed, perform a method of presenting medication information by body system, the method comprising:
receiving a selection of at least one body system filter directed to a first body system; accessing a patient's medication information stored in associated with an electronic medical record; applying the at least one body system filter to the medication information to generate a set of body-system specific medication information; and presenting the body-system specific medication information on a user interface.

2 . The media of claims 1 , wherein the at least one body system filter comprises one or more selected from the following:
 (A) neurological, (B) cardiovascular, (C) lungs, (D) renal-fluid, (E) GI-nutrition, (F) integument, (G) musculoskeletal, (H) endocrine, (I) hematology, (J) inflammation, and (K) immunocompromised.

3 . The media of claim 2 , wherein the at least one body system filter further comprises a user configurable body system filter.

4 . The media of claim 1 , wherein the set of body-system specific medication information comprises one or more medications orders currently in effect for the patient.

5 . The media of claim 4 , further comprising:
receiving a user tag of at least one of the one or more medication orders; and using the at least one tagged medication order to automatically generate at least a portion of a clinical note.

6 . The media of claim 1 , wherein the set of body-system specific medication information comprises at least a medication name, a dosage amount, a frequency of dosage, and a route of administration.

7 . The media of claim 1 , wherein the set of body-system specific medication information is categorized into one or more categories selected from the following:
 (A) continuous, (B) scheduled, (C) PRN, (D) suspended, and (E) discontinued within the past 24 hours.

8 . The media of claim 1 , wherein the body-system specific medication information is modifiable by a user action.

9 . The media of claim 8 , wherein the user action comprises at least one of a modify action, a suspend action, or a cancel action.

10 . One or more computer storage media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon that, when executed, produce a graphical user interface (GUI) to facilitate presenting a body system view of a patient's medication information, the GUI comprising:
a body system selection area configured to present a plurality of actionable filters, each filter directed to a different body system; and a medication order display area configured to present current medication orders related to the patient and a selected body system.

11 . The GUI of claim 10 , wherein the medication order display area is selectable, and wherein selection of the medication order display area initiates the presentation of a medication order action display screen configurable to receive one or more user actions corresponding to at least one of the current medication orders.

12 . The GUI of claim 11 , wherein the one or more user actions comprise a modify action, a suspend action, and a cancel action.

13 . The GUI of claim 11 , wherein subsequent to receiving at least one user action of the one or more user actions corresponding to the at least one of the current medication orders, presenting an icon in association with the at least one of the current medication orders.

14 . The GUI of claim 10 , wherein hovering over at least one current medication order initiates the presentation of a detailed view of the at least one current medication order.

15 . The GUI of claim 14 , wherein the detailed view of the at least one current medication order comprises:
an order comments display area configured to present one or more clinician comments; and an order date/time area configured to present a date and a time when the at least one current medication order was ordered.

16 . One or more computer storage media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon that, when executed, perform a method of presenting a patient's medication order information in a body system view, the method comprising:
receiving a selection of a first body system filter corresponding to a first body system; accessing the patient's medication order information; applying the first body system filter to the patient's medication order information to generate at least a first medication order related to the first body system; and presenting the at least the first medication order on a user interface.

17 . The media of claim 16 , further comprising:
receiving a selection of a second body system filter corresponding to a second body system; accessing the patient's medication order information; applying the second body system filter to the patient's medication order information to generate at least a second medication order related to the second body system; and presenting the at least the second medication order on the user interface.

18 . The media of claim 17 , wherein the at least the first medication order and the at least the second medication order are the same.

19 . The media of claim 17 , wherein the at least the first medication order and the at least the second medication order are different.

20 . The media of claim 16 , further comprising:
accessing the patient's medical information other than the patient's medication order information; applying the first body system filter to the patient's medical information other than the patient's medication order information to generate a set of medical information related to the first body system; and presenting the set of medical information related to the first body system on the user interface.
