Abstract
Briefly, in accordance with one embodiment, a method of adjusting for digital automatic gain control (DAGC) quantization error in a mobile station is as follows. A first DAGC value is stored before reception of one or more enhanced pilot signals. A second DAGC value is computed during reception of the one or more enhanced pilot signal. The first DAGC value is restored after reception of the one or more enhanced pilot signals is over. An advantage associated with this particular embodiment may include reduction in quantization error for digital automatic gain control.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method of detecting enhanced pilot signals for a mobile station comprising:
correlating a pseudo-random sequence with a received signal to determine whether the sequence is matched to the received signal; if there is a match, using the correlated enhanced pilot signal to estimate position location for the mobile station.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein, if there is not a match, correlating the pseudo-random sequence with another received signal to determine whether there is a match.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said pseudo-random sequence comprises a PN sequence.
4 . An article comprising: a storage medium having stored thereon instructions that if executed direct a mobile station to correlate a pseudo-random sequence with a received signal to determine whether the sequence is matched to the received signal and, if there is a match, use the correlated enhanced pilot signal to estimate position location for the mobile station.
5 . The article of claim 4 , wherein, if there is not a match, said instructions, if executed further directing the mobile station to correlate the pseudo-random sequence with another received signal to determine whether there is a match.
6 . An article comprising: a computing platform; said computing platform to correlate a pseudo-random sequence with a received signal to determine whether the sequence is matched to the received signal, and, if there is a match, use the correlated enhanced pilot signal to estimate position location for the mobile station.
7 . The article of claim 6 , wherein, if there is not a match, said instructions, if executed, further directing the mobile station to correlate the pseudo-random sequence with another received signal to determine whether there is a match.
8 . A mobile station comprising:
means for correlating a pseudo-random sequence with a received signal to determine whether the sequence is matched to the received signal; and means for using the correlated enhanced pilot signal to estimate position location for the mobile station if there is a match.
9 . The mobile station of claim 8 , and further comprising means for correlating the pseudo-random sequence with another received signal to determine whether there is a match, if there is not a match with the received signal.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
