Method and an apparatus for managing games and a learning plaything

Abstract

A plaything having adjustable game attributes. The plaything comprises a reading unit for reading a unique machine-readable representation of game related information from a labeled game element and a memory for hosting an attribute record characterizing at least one game attribute of a game. The plaything further comprises a learning module for updating the attribute record according to the game related information and a presentation unit for expressing the game attribute according to the updated attribute record.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An apparatus for enhancing a presentation of photos in a photo album, comprising:
 a processor;   a reading unit which visually reads a plurality of photo related information identifiers from a plurality of photo related identifiers in a photo album having a plurality of photos;   a memory for hosting a plurality of media content records;   a managing module which selects, using said processor, at least one of said plurality of media content records according to at least one of said plurality of photo related information identifiers; and   a presentation unit which presents said at least selected media content record to a viewer in response to reading one of said plurality of photo related information identifiers.   
     
     
         2 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein each said photo related identifier is a pattern of a at least one unique feature in one of said plurality of photos. 
     
     
         3 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein each said photo related identifier is a portion of a photo placed in said photo album. 
     
     
         4 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , further comprising a man machine interface for marking by a user one of said plurality of photos and records one of said plurality of media content records in association with one of said plurality of photos. 
     
     
         5 . The apparatus of  claim 4 , further comprising a software module which associates between said plurality of photos and said plurality of photo related identifiers. 
     
     
         6 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein each of said plurality of media content records comprises audible content and said presentation unit presents said audible content. 
     
     
         7 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein each of said plurality of media content records is recorded using a microphone of said apparatus. 
     
     
         8 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein each of said plurality of media content records comprises a recording of a user, said recording is associated by said user with one of said plurality of photo related identifiers. 
     
     
         9 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein each of said plurality of media content records comprises a recording of a user, said recording is made after a photo associated with one of said plurality of photo related identifiers is captured. 
     
     
         10 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein said plurality of photo related identifiers are plurality of labeled stickers. 
     
     
         11 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein said presentation unit comprises a speaker for playing said plurality of media content records. 
     
     
         12 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein said reading unit performs said reading using a member of a group consisting of: a photoelectric sensor, an image sensor, a color sensor, and Infrared (IR) sensor. 
     
     
         13 . A method for reading data, comprising:
 a) creating an interactive photo album by associating between a plurality of photo related identifiers and a plurality of photos of a photo album;   a) visually reading by a sensor of a handheld apparatus directed by a user a unique machine-readable representation from one of said plurality of photo related identifiers;   b) selecting at least one of a plurality of media content records hosted in said handheld apparatus according to said machine-readable representation; and   c) triggering a presentation of said at least selected media content record using said handheld apparatus in response to reading said machine-readable representation.   
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 13 , wherein said plurality of photo related identifiers are placed in said photo album. 
     
     
         15 . An interactive kit for presenting photo related content, comprising:
 a plurality of unique machine-readable representations each configured for being associated with at least one of a plurality of photos of a photo album; and   a sensing unit configured for storing a plurality of media records each associated with at least one of said plurality of unique machine-readable representations;   wherein said sensing unit is configured for reading each said unique machine-readable representation and playing a respective of said plurality of media records accordingly.   
     
     
         16 . The interactive kit of  claim 15 , wherein said sensing unit is configured for allowing a record to record at least one of said plurality of media records and to associate it with at least one of said plurality of photos.
