Abstract
Described are implants, kits, systems, and methods, for treating pelvic conditions such as levator avulsion, by placing an implant between an anterior incision and a posterior incision to support the levator tissue.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 13 . (canceled)
14 . A kit for treating a levator avulsion, the kit comprising:
an implant comprising a support portion and two end portions extending from the support portion, two insertion tools comprising a needle comprising a helical curve, and one insertion tool comprising a needle comprising a two-dimensional curve.
15 . A kit according to claim 14 comprising:
an implant comprising a support portion and two end portions extending from the support portion,
two insertion tools comprising a needle comprising a helical curve, and
two insertion tool comprising a needle comprising a two-dimensional curve.
16 . A kit according to claim 14 , wherein the two needles comprising helical curves comprise different curves, one curve capable of creating a tissue path between a patient's left obturator foramen and a region of a levator avulsion on a patient's left side, the other curve capable of creating a tissue path between a patient's right obturator foramen and a region of a levator avulsion on a patient's right side.
17 . A kit according to claim 14 comprising two insertion tools comprising a needle comprising a two-dimensional curve, each needle having a similar curve, each needle being capable of creating a tissue path between a perirectal incision and a region of a levator avulsion.
18 . A kit according to claim 14 comprising four elongate implants.
19 . A kit according to claim 18 , wherein each if the four elongate implants comprises two connectors, one connecter attached to an end of an implant, each connector being capable of engaging an end of a needle.
20 . A kit according to claim 19 , wherein each implant is a mesh strip having a width in the range from 1 to 3 centimeters and a length in a range from 20 to 40 centimeters.
21 . A kit according to claim 14 wherein the implant is a mesh strip having a width in the range from 1 to 3 centimeters and a length in a range from 20 to 40 centimeters.
22 . A kit according to claim 21 wherein the implant comprises a sheath extending along a length of the mesh strip.
23 . A kit according to claim 14 wherein the implant is a mesh strip having a width in the range from 1 to 3 centimeters and a length in a range from 20 to 40 centimeters, the kit further comprising a second mesh strip implant having a width in the range from 1 to 3 centimeters and a length in a range from 20 to 40 centimeters.
24 . A kit according to claim 23 wherein the implant comprises a sheath extending along a length of the mesh strip and the second implant comprises a sheath extending along a length of the mesh strip.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
