User-friendly display of data

Abstract

A display apparatus for displaying accumulated data items includes obtaining means for obtaining a plurality of data items accumulated, classifying means for classifying the plurality of data items into N groups on the basis of predetermined criteria, display-control means for controlling an indication on a display unit such that the plurality of data are displayed in N display regions corresponding to the N groups, and accepting means for accepting a specification of one display region from among the N display regions. When the accepting means accepts a specification of one display region from among the N display regions, the classifying means classifies a plurality of data items displayed in the specified display region into a further N groups, and the display-control means controls an indication on the display unit such that the plurality of data items are displayed in the N display regions corresponding to the N groups.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A display apparatus for displaying accumulated data items on a display unit, the display apparatus comprising:
 obtaining means for obtaining a plurality of data items that are accumulated;   classifying means for classifying the plurality of data items that are obtained by the obtaining means into N groups on the basis of predetermined criteria;   display-control means for controlling an indication on the display unit such that the plurality of data items that are classified by the classifying means are displayed in N display regions corresponding to the N groups; and   accepting means for accepting a specification of one display region from among the N display regions,   wherein, when the accepting means accepts a specification of one display region from among the N display regions, the classifying means classifies a plurality of data items displayed in the specified display region into a further N groups, and the display-control means controls an indication on the display unit such that the plurality of data items that are further classified by the classifying means are newly displayed in the N display regions corresponding to the N groups.
