Abstract

Systems and methods for displaying job listings via a website are described. In some examples, the systems identify information associated with a viewer of a website, and selectively display job listing information based of the information associated with the viewer of the website, such as information attributed to the viewer within a social network of which the viewer is a member.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method for displaying job listings via a website, the method comprising:
 receiving information associated with a viewer of a website currently presenting two or more job listings;   modifying a presentation of the two or more job listings based on the received information.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein modifying a presentation of the job listings includes presenting a subset of the job listings based on the received information associated with the viewer of the website. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein modifying a presentation of the job listings includes presenting user interface objects that facilitate a submission of information for the viewer proximate to the job listings based on the received information associated with the viewer of the website. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein receiving information associated with a viewer includes receiving information from a social networking site that includes the viewer as a member; and wherein modifying a presentation of the job listings based on the received information includes not presenting at least one job listing based on the received information. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein receiving information associated with a viewer includes receiving viewer attribute information from a social networking site that includes the viewer as a member; and wherein modifying a presentation of the job listings based on the received information includes presenting job listings having attribute information that match the viewer attribute information. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein receiving information associated with a viewer includes receiving education information attributed to the viewer; and
 wherein modifying a presentation of the job listings based on the received information includes presenting job listings having attribute information that match the education information attributed to the viewer.   
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein receiving information associated with a viewer includes receiving work experience information attributed to the viewer; and
 wherein modifying a presentation of the job listings based on the received information includes presenting job listings having attribute information that match the work experience information attributed to the viewer.   
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein receiving information associated with a viewer includes receiving skills information attributed to the viewer; and wherein modifying a presentation of the job listings based on the received information includes presenting job listings having attribute information that match the skills information attributed to the viewer. 
     
     
         9 . A system for presenting job listings via a website, the system comprising:
 a viewer module that is configured to identify a viewer of a website presenting job listings; and   a display module that is configured to modify a presentation of job listings by the website based on the identified viewer.   
     
     
         10 . The system of  claim 9 , wherein the display module is configured to present a subset of the job listings associated with the identified viewer of the website. 
     
     
         11 . The system of  claim 9 , wherein the display module is configured to present user interface objects that facilitate a submission of information for the viewer proximate to job listings associated with the identified viewer of the website. 
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein the display module is configured to present a complete set of job listings to a generic group of viewers of the website, a first set of job listings that is a first subset of the complete set of job listings to a first identified viewer of the website, and a second set of job listings that is a second, different, subset of the complete set of job listings to a second identified viewer of the website. 
     
     
         13 . A computer-readable storage medium whose contents, when executed by a computing system cause a website to perform a method for displaying job listings via a page presented by the website, the method comprising:
 receiving information associated with a viewer of a website currently presenting two or more job listings;   modifying a presentation of the two or more job listings based on the received information.   
     
     
         14 . The computer-readable storage medium of  claim 13 , wherein modifying a presentation of the job listings includes presenting a subset of the job listings based on the received information associated with the viewer of the website. 
     
     
         15 . The computer-readable storage medium of  claim 13 , wherein modifying a presentation of the job listings includes presenting user interface objects that facilitate a submission of information for the viewer proximate to the job listings based on the received information associated with the viewer of the website. 
     
     
         16 . The computer-readable storage medium of  claim 13 , wherein receiving information associated with a viewer includes receiving information from a social networking site that includes the viewer as a member; and wherein modifying a presentation of the job listings based on the received information includes not presenting at least one job listing based on the received information. 
     
     
         17 . The computer-readable storage medium of  claim 13 , wherein receiving information associated with a viewer includes receiving viewer attribute information from a social networking site that includes the viewer as a member; and wherein modifying a presentation of the job listings based on the received information includes presenting job listings having attribute information that match the viewer attribute information. 
     
     
         18 . The computer-readable storage medium of  claim 13 , wherein receiving information associated with a viewer includes receiving education information attributed to the viewer; and wherein modifying a presentation of the job listings based on the received information includes presenting job listings having attribute information that match the education information attributed to the viewer. 
     
     
         19 . The computer-readable storage medium of  claim 13 , wherein receiving information associated with a viewer includes receiving work experience information attributed to the viewer; and wherein modifying a presentation of the job listings based on the received information includes presenting job listings having attribute information that match the work experience information attributed to the viewer. 
     
     
         20 . The computer-readable storage medium of  claim 13 , wherein receiving information associated with a viewer includes receiving skills information attributed to the viewer; and wherein modifying a presentation of the job listings based on the received information includes presenting job listings having attribute information that match the skills information attributed to the viewer.
