Abstract

A display device mountable on an automotive wiper arm positioned on the rear of an automotive vehicle, comprising a display panel having a front side for presentation of text or graphics and a back side for mounting a connector; an arm-connector for affixing said display device to said automotive wiper arm; a shaft for linking said arm-connector to said display panel; a shaft-connector for affixing said shaft to said display panel, said shaft-connector comprising part of said shaft; a display-connector for affixing said shaft to said display panel, said display-connector comprising said connector positioned on said display panel backside; wherein said shaft-connector and said display-connector are configured to lock together after one is connected to the other, substantially preventing separation of said display panel from said shaft during motion of said automotive wiper arm during operation, and wherein said arm-connector is configured to clasp said automotive wiper arm and maintain sufficient pressure to avoid substantial rotation of said shaft around said automotive wiper arm as a result of airflow pressure on said display panel during vehicular motion.

Claims

56 . The visual display system of claim 55 , wherein said rotational connector is configured to lock on to said windshield wiper assembly, preventing separation of said electronic display panel from said windshield wiper assembly during motion of said automotive vehicle and motion of said wiper arm of said windshield wiper assembly.

57 . The visual display system of claim 55 , wherein said electronic display panel is connectable to a remote device to wirelessly receive instructional control sets governing display of said at least one of text and graphics on said electronic display panel.

58 . The visual display system of claim 55 , wherein operation of said display panel is controllable from a wireless device capable of transmitting a control signal from said wireless device to said display panel and said display panel is configured to receive said control signal.

59 . The visual display system of claim 55 , wherein said electronic display panel further comprises a digital display.

60 . The visual display system of claim 55 , wherein said electronic display panel further comprises an electronic storage for containing instruction sets.

61 . The visual display system of claim 60 , wherein said at least one of text and graphics is dynamically displayed and further comprises video.

         62 . A visual display device, comprising:
an electronic display panel configured for presentation of at least one of text and graphics; a rotational connector for attaching said electronic display to a rear windshield wiper assembly of an automotive vehicle, said windshield wiper assembly including at least a motor, a motor-shaft, and wiper arm; wherein said electronic display panel is configurable for receiving electric power from at least one of a battery, solar cells, and an electrical system in said automotive vehicle, and wherein said rotational connector is configured to allow said motor-shaft to rotate with respect to said electronic display panel during rotational movement of said automotive wiper arm, said electronic display panel remaining relatively stationary with respect to said automotive vehicle.

63 . The visual display device of claim 62 , wherein said rotational connector is configured to lock on to said windshield wiper assembly, preventing separation of said electronic display panel from said windshield wiper assembly during motion of said automotive vehicle and motion of said wiper arm of said wiper assembly.

64 . The visual display device of claim 62 , wherein said electronic display panel is connectable to a remote device to wirelessly receive instructional control sets governing display of said at least one of text and graphics on said electronic display panel.

65 . The visual display device of claim 62 , wherein operation of said electronic display panel is controllable from a wireless device capable of transmitting a control signal from said wireless device to said electronic display panel and said electronic display panel is configured to receive said control signal.

66 . The visual display device of claim 62 , wherein said electronic display panel further comprises a digital display and an electronic storage for containing instruction sets.

67 . The visual display device of claim 62 , wherein said at least one of text and graphics is dynamically displayed and further comprises video.

68 . The visual display device of claim 62 , wherein said electronic display panel is at least semi-flexible.

69 . A method for mounting a visual display device attachable to a rear windshield wiper assembly of an automotive vehicle, said windshield wiper assembly including at least a motor, a motor-shaft, and wiper arm, said method comprising:
providing an electronic display panel; providing a plurality of mounting-connectors for sustaining said electronic display panel in a mounted position attached to said rear windshield wiper assembly; providing adaptors for engaging a plurality of attachment points on said automotive vehicle; configuring said electronic display panel for receiving electric power from at least one of a battery, solar cells, and an electrical system in said automotive vehicle, and wherein at least one of said mounting-connectors is configured as a rotational connector connectable to said electronic display panel.
