Dolly

Abstract

A dolly has a frame with a pair of risers connected thereto. Connecting bolts extend partially through the risers and through the frame to connect the risers and casters to the frame. The risers have an outer riser body with a core disposed therein. The outer riser body may be a thermoplastic injection molded riser body that is molded around a riser core which may be a metal riser plate core.

What is claimed: 
     
         1 . A dolly comprising:
 a rectangular frame having side members, a first end member and a second end member connected to the side members, the first end member having a plurality of sets of first openings in a first predetermined configuration, and the second end member having a plurality of sets of second openings in a second predetermined configuration;   a first riser having a first riser body shaped around a first riser plate, and a plurality of sets of first bolts connected to the first riser in the first predetermined configuration, the first bolts having a first vertical axis and a first length, the first bolts fixed against rotation about the first vertical axis and against movement along the first length of the first bolts to the first riser plate, the first bolts disposed in the first openings;   a second riser having a second riser body shaped around a second riser plate, and a plurality of sets of second bolts connected to the second riser in the second predetermined configuration, the second bolts having a second vertical axis and a second length, the first bolts fixed against rotation about the second vertical axis and against movement along the second length of the second bolts to the second riser plate, the second bolts disposed in the second openings; and   casters connected to the first and second bolts.   
     
     
         2 . The dolly of  claim 1 , wherein the first and second riser bodies are shaped in a mold around the first and second riser plates. 
     
     
         3 . The dolly of  claim 1 , wherein the first riser plate comprises a metal riser plate, the first bolts being welded to the metal riser plate. 
     
     
         4 . The dolly of  claim 1 , wherein the dolly frame is constructed of plastic. 
     
     
         5 . The dolly of  claim 1 , wherein the first riser body is a thermoplastic outer body. 
     
     
         6 . The dolly of  claim 1 , wherein the first riser body is shaped in a mold around the first riser plate and a portion of the first bolts.
