Abstract
A computer implemented method for producing a contact history for a marketing campaign is described. The method includes producing a promotion version history table for the marketing campaign, with the promotion version history table recording promotion attribute values for each promotion version at runtime, producing a treatment history table for the marketing campaign, with the treatment history table representing promotion instances given to a group, producing a contact history table for the marketing campaign, the contact history table recording which contact entities were in which groups at runtime, linking the promotion version history table, the treatment history table, and the contact history table, wherein the linking preserves referential integrity between the promotion version history table, the treatment history table, and the contact history table, and producing the contact history from the promotion version history table, the treatment history table, and the contact history table.

34 . A computer-implemented method for producing a contact history for a marketing campaign, comprising:
creating a first link between a promotion version history table and a treatment history table; creating a second link between the treatment history table and a contact history table; and generating the contact history using the promotion version history table, the treatment history table, and the contact history table, wherein the promotion version history table is a record of promotion attributes values for each promotion version of the marketing campaign, the treatment history table is a record of promotion instances in the marketing campaign, and the contact history table is a record of contact entities in a particular group.
35 . The method of claim 34 , wherein
the contact history includes a plurality of contact records, and each contact record includes:
an audience field corresponding to a contact entity of the marketing campaign,
a groupID field corresponding to a group of the marketing campaign,
an update time field corresponding to a date and a time of an execution of the marketing campaign, and
a packageID field representing a number of interruptions to the contact entity made by the marketing campaign.
36 . The method of claim 34 , wherein
the promotion version history includes promotion version records corresponding to a plurality of promotion versions, the promotion version records are assigned to one or more groups of the marketing campaign, and each of the promotion version records includes a plurality of data fields respectively corresponding to a plurality values of static promotion attributes of the plurality of promotion versions.
37 . The method of claim 34 , wherein
the treatment history includes a plurality of treatment records, and each treatment record includes:
a promotion version field corresponding to a promotion version of the marketing campaign,
a groupID field corresponding to a group of the marketing campaign,
a run date and time field corresponding to a date and a time of an execution of the marketing campaign, and
a treatment code field corresponding to the promotion version, the group, and the date and the time of the execution of the marketing campaign.
38 . The method of claim 34 , wherein
the contact history table includes a detailed contact history table corresponding to contact entities assigned to groups and receiving promotion versions, and the promotion versions include at least one of:
a data personalized promotion version,
a contact fatigue rule optimized promotion version, and
a real-time promotion version.
39 . The method of claim 34 , wherein
the promotion version history table is linked with the treatment history table with promotion version numbers.
40 . The method of claim 34 , wherein
the contact history table is linked with the treatment history table with groupIDs or packageIDs.
41 . A computer hardware system configured to produce a contact history for a marketing campaign, comprising:
at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor is configured to initiate and/or perform:
creating a first link between a promotion version history table and a treatment history table;
creating a second link between the treatment history table and a contact history table; and
generating the contact history using the promotion version history table, the treatment history table, and the contact history table, wherein
the promotion version history table is a record of promotion attributes values for each promotion version of the marketing campaign, the treatment history table is a record of promotion instances in the marketing campaign, and the contact history table is a record of contact entities in a particular group.
42 . The system of claim 41 , wherein
the contact history includes a plurality of contact records, and each contact record includes:
an audience field corresponding to a contact entity of the marketing campaign,
a groupID field corresponding to a group of the marketing campaign,
an update time field corresponding to a date and a time of an execution of the marketing campaign, and
a packageID field representing a number of interruptions to the contact entity made by the marketing campaign.

the promotion version history includes promotion version records corresponding to a plurality of promotion versions, the promotion version records are assigned to one or more groups of the marketing campaign, and each of the promotion version records includes a plurality of data fields respectively corresponding to a plurality values of static promotion attributes of the plurality of promotion versions.
44 . The system of claim 41 , wherein
the treatment history includes a plurality of treatment records, and each treatment record includes:
a promotion version field corresponding to a promotion version of the marketing campaign,
a groupID field corresponding to a group of the marketing campaign,
a run date and time field corresponding to a date and a time of an execution of the marketing campaign, and
a treatment code field corresponding to the promotion version, the group, and the date and the time of the execution of the marketing campaign.
45 . The system of claim 41 , wherein
the contact history table includes a detailed contact history table corresponding to contact entities assigned to groups and receiving promotion versions, and the promotion versions include at least one of:
a data personalized promotion version,
a contact fatigue rule optimized promotion version, and
a real-time promotion version.
46 . The system of claim 41 , wherein
the promotion version history table is linked with the treatment history table with promotion version numbers.
47 . The system of claim 41 , wherein
the contact history table is linked with the treatment history table with groupIDs or packageIDs.
48 . A computer program product, comprising:
a computer-usable storage medium having stored therein computer-usable instructions for producing a contact history for a marketing campaign, the computer-usable instructions, which when executed by a computer hardware system, cause the computer hardware system to perform:
creating a first link between a promotion version history table and a treatment history table;
creating a second link between the treatment history table and a contact history table; and
generating the contact history using the promotion version history table, the treatment history table, and the contact history table, wherein
the promotion version history table is a record of promotion attributes values for each promotion version of the marketing campaign, the treatment history table is a record of promotion instances in the marketing campaign, and the contact history table is a record of contact entities in a particular group.
49 . The computer program product of claim 48 , wherein
the contact history includes a plurality of contact records, and each contact record includes:
an audience field corresponding to a contact entity of the marketing campaign,
a groupID field corresponding to a group of the marketing campaign,
an update time field corresponding to a date and a time of an execution of the marketing campaign, and
a packageID field representing a number of interruptions to the contact entity made by the marketing campaign.

the promotion version history includes promotion version records corresponding to a plurality of promotion versions, the promotion version records are assigned to one or more groups of the marketing campaign, and each of the promotion version records includes a plurality of data fields respectively corresponding to a plurality values of static promotion attributes of the plurality of promotion versions.
51 . The computer program product of claim 48 , wherein
the treatment history includes a plurality of treatment records, and each treatment record includes:
a promotion version field corresponding to a promotion version of the marketing campaign,
a groupID field corresponding to a group of the marketing campaign,
a run date and time field corresponding to a date and a time of an execution of the marketing campaign, and
a treatment code field corresponding to the promotion version, the group, and the date and the time of the execution of the marketing campaign.

the contact history table includes a detailed contact history table corresponding to contact entities assigned to groups and receiving promotion versions, and the promotion versions include at least one of:
