Abstract

According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes a speaker, a receiver, a switch, a detector, and a controller. The receiver is configured to receive an audio signal from an external device. The switch is configured to switch between a first path by which the speaker is connected to a sound controller and a second path by which the receiver and the speaker are connected to each other without the sound controller. The sound controller is configured to operate when the electronic apparatus is in an operative state. The state detector is configured to detect a first state where the receiver receives the input of the audio signal from the external device. Lastly, the controller is configured to cause the switch to switch from the first path to the second path, when the first state is detected by the state detector in a non-operative state of the electronic apparatus.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An electronic apparatus comprising:
 a speaker;   a receiver configured to receive an input of an audio signal from an external device;   a switch configured to switch between a first path by which the speaker is connected to a sound controller and a second path by which the receiver and the speaker are connected to each other without the sound controller, wherein the sound controller is configured to operate when the electronic apparatus is in an operative state;   a state detector configured to detect a first state where the receiver receives the input of the audio signal from the external device; and   a controller configured to cause the switch to switch from the first path to the second path, when the first state is detected by the state detector in a non-operative state of the electronic apparatus.   
     
     
         2 . The electronic apparatus of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the receiver comprises a terminal configured to input the audio signal from the external device.   
     
     
         3 . The electronic apparatus of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the receiver comprises a terminal configured to input the audio signal from the external device, and   wherein the first state is a state where the external device is connected to the terminal.   
     
     
         4 . The electronic apparatus of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the receiver comprises a terminal configured to input the audio signal, and   wherein the first state is a state where an external terminal for inputting the audio signal is connected to the terminal.   
     
     
         5 . The electronic apparatus of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the non-operative state comprises at least one of a standby state, a sleep state, a suspend state and a hibernation state.   
     
     
         6 . The electronic apparatus of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the audio signal is transmitted to the speaker via the second path, and   wherein a sound corresponding to the audio signal is output from the speaker in the non-operative state of the electronic apparatus.   
     
     
         7 . An electronic apparatus comprising:
 a speaker;   a receiver configured to receive an input of an audio signal from an external device;   a switch configured to switch between a first path by which the speaker is connected to a sound controller and a second path by which the receiver and the speaker are connected to each other without the sound controller, wherein the sound controller is configured to operate when the electronic apparatus is in an operative state;   a state detector configured to detect a first state where the receiver receives the input of the audio signal from the external device; and   a controller configured to cause the switch to switch from the first path to the second path, when the electronic apparatus in the first state is in a non-operative state.   
     
     
         8 . The electronic apparatus of  claim 7 ,
 wherein the receiver comprises a terminal configured to input the audio signal from the external device.   
     
     
         9 . The electronic apparatus of  claim 7 ,
 wherein the receiver comprises a terminal configured to input the audio signal from the external device, and   wherein the first state is a state where the external device is connected to the terminal.   
     
     
         10 . The electronic apparatus of  claim 7 ,
 wherein the receiver comprises a terminal configured to input the audio signal, and   wherein the first state is a state where an external terminal for inputting the audio signal is connected to the terminal.   
     
     
         11 . The electronic apparatus of  claim 7 ,
 wherein the non-operative state comprises at least one of a standby state, a sleep state, a suspend state and a hibernation state.   
     
     
         12 . The electronic apparatus of  claim 7 ,
 wherein the audio signal is transmitted to the speaker via the second path, and   wherein a sound corresponding to the audio signal is output from the speaker in the non-operative state of the electronic apparatus.   
     
     
         13 . An electronic apparatus comprising:
 a speaker;   a sound controller;   a receiver configured to receive an audio signal as input;   a switch configured to switch between a first path by which the speaker is connected to the sound controller and a second path by which the receiver and the speaker are connected to each other without the sound controller, wherein the sound controller is configured to operate when the electronic apparatus is in an operative state; and   a controller coupled to the switch, the controller being configured to control the switch to switch from the first path to the second path, when the electronic apparatus in the first state is in a non-operative state.   
     
     
         14 . The electronic apparatus of  claim 13 ,
 wherein the receiver comprises a terminal configured to receive the audio signal as input from an external device.   
     
     
         15 . The electronic apparatus of  claim 14 ,
 wherein the first state is a state where the external device is connected to the terminal.   
     
     
         16 . The electronic apparatus of  claim 14 ,
 wherein the first state is a state where an external terminal for inputting the audio signal is connected to the terminal.   
     
     
         17 . The electronic apparatus of  claim 13 ,
 wherein the non-operative state comprises at least one of a standby state, a sleep state, a suspend state and a hibernation state.
