Abstract
An anchor includes a barrel having a bore extending therethrough. First and second wings extend laterally from the barrel. Further, first and second grooves are provided within the first and second wings, respectively.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 . A system, comprising:
a back up wall; a veneer wall spaced from the back up wall; an anchoring fastener having a first end secured to the back up wall and a second free end projecting into a space between the back up wall and the veneer wall; an anchor including a barrel with a bore extending therethrough and first and second wings extending laterally from the barrel, wherein first and second openings are provided within the first and second wings, respectively; and a wire tie extending between the anchor and the veneer wall, wherein the anchoring fastener extends through the bore of the anchor and the anchor is disposed adjacent a surface of the back up wall.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the barrel is cylindrical.
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first and second wings are spaced apart circumferentially by about 180°.
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the bore is unthreaded.
5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the anchoring fastener is threaded.
6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein at least one washer is provided between the back up wall and the anchor.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the anchor is juxtaposed with the back up wall.
8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein an additional wall of material is provided between the back up wall and the anchor.
9 . A system, comprising:
a back up wall; a hard sheeting wall provided adjacent the back up wall; a veneer wall spaced from the back up wall and the hard sheeting wall; an anchoring fastener having a first end secured through the hard sheeting wall to the back up wall and a second free end projecting into a space between the hard sheeting wall and the veneer wall; an anchor including a barrel with a bore extending therethrough and first and second wings extending laterally from the barrel, wherein first and second openings are provided within the first and second wings, respectively; and a wire tie extending between the anchor and the veneer wall, wherein the anchoring fastener extends through the bore of the anchor and the anchor is disposed adjacent a surface of the hard sheeting wall.
10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the barrel is cylindrical.
11 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the first and second wings are spaced apart circumferentially by about 180°.
12 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the bore is unthreaded.
13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the anchoring fastener is threaded.
14 . The system of claim 9 , wherein at least one washer is provided between the back up wall and the anchor.
15 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the anchor is juxtaposed with the hard sheeting wall.
16 . An anchor, comprising,
a barrel having a bore extending therethrough; and first and second wings extending laterally from the barrel, wherein first and second grooves are provided within the first and second wings, respectively.
17 . The anchor of claim 16 , wherein the first and second grooves extend through edges of the first and second wings, respectively.
18 . The anchor of claim 17 , wherein the first and second wings are generally planar.
19 . The anchor of claim 18 , wherein the first and second wings are spaced apart circumferentially by about 180°.
20 . The anchor of claim 16 , wherein the bore is not threaded.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
