Device comprising actuating mechanisms with a pedal and comprising a hydraulic actuator for lifting and lowering, respectively, the cover and the seat of a wc
Abstract
A device having mechanisms for lifting and lowering the cover and the seat of a toilet (WC), including a structure fixed to the rear part of the mouth of a WC bowl and housing a first axle and a second axle arranged co-linearly and separated at the ends thereof. The first and second axles include, on the adjunct co-linear ends, a first cam and a second cam designed to receive and hold the end of a first cable and a second cable. The ends of the cables respectively connect to a first pedal element and a second pedal element that are independent of each other, but mounted in a single structure. The device can include a mechanism actuated by a hydraulic piston in order to lower the cover and seat automatically when the WC tank is emptied.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . 2 . A device with pedal drive mechanisms and hydraulic actuator to raise and lower, respectively, the lid and seat of a toilet, according to claim 1 , wherein said first pedal where the first cable is attached which extends and fixes to said first cam fixedly mounted on said first axis fixed at the lid, is wider than the second pedal, to identify them and actuate them separately or jointly.
3 . A device with pedal drive mechanisms and hydraulic actuator to raise and lower, respectively, the lid and seat of a toilet according to claim 1 , wherein the device further comprises a mechanism for generating a second turn in the opposite direction of said axes to automatically lower the lid and seat simultaneously or independently by pressure differential when the toilet tank is discharged; consists of a hydraulic piston comprising an upthrust cam fixed on its upper end, to push and turn optionally a third cam mounted on said first axis fixed to said lid and to push simultaneously or separately a fourth cam fixed to a third hollow axis mounted on said first independent rotatably axis and fixed to one end of said seat.
4 . A device with pedal drive mechanisms and hydraulic actuator to raise and lower, respectively, the lid and seat of a toilet according to claim 3 , wherein said hydraulic piston comprising a bottom connection where a water supply duct is connected from a supply source and internally houses a rod as upstroke element comprising a recoil enveloping spring; said piston comprises a first lower hole for the water inlet in communication with a second transverse bore that allows the water supply through a side exit of the piston connected via a supply duct to the bottom intake of the water storage tank of the toilet, for fill it when discharged by effect of the pressure differential; said piston is actuated by pressure differential when the water from the toilet tank is discharged to start simultaneously the rod stroke to drive the cams and axes to fold-down the lid and seat; when the tank is filled, the pressure is equalized and the recoil spring returns the rod to the rest position.
5 . A device with pedal drive mechanisms and hydraulic actuator to raise and lower, respectively, the lid and seat of a toilet according to claim 1 , wherein said support structure comprises a base comprising vertical support means where rest and turn said first axis and second axis and a cover which is mounted on the base and is coupled thereto with fixing means, to internally protect the axes and actuating cams.
6 . A device with pedal drive mechanisms and hydraulic actuator to raise and lower, respectively, the lid and seat of a toilet, according to claim 1 wherein said support structure is fixed to the toilet in the back part of the hole of said toilet, attached to the base of the water tank and is used a fixing hollow means that penetrates through a orifice formed in the toilet and has threaded means for attachment; through said fixing hollow means penetrate the pedal drive cables and through an orifice formed in the base of said support structure.
7 . A device with pedal drive mechanisms and hydraulic actuator to raise and lower, respectively, the lid and seat of a toilet, according to claim 1 wherein said hydraulic piston is fixed to the back bottom part of said toilet by means of a fixing hollow element which penetrates in a second orifice formed on said toilet, and also holds said base of the support structure to fixed it at the same time above the toilet in the back part of the hole thereof; through said fixing hollow element, the piston rod makes its stroke and penetrates through a second orifice formed in the base of the support structure to actuate the axes cams to lower the lid and seat as described.
8 . A device with pedal drive mechanisms and hydraulic actuator to raise and lower, respectively, the lid and seat of a toilet according to claim 1 wherein said support structure cover comprises secure elements to avoid fold-down or lower the lid and locking elements which locks said piston to prevent fold-down or lower the lid and seat.
9 . A device with pedal drive mechanisms and hydraulic actuator to raise and lower, respectively, the lid and seat of a toilet according to claim 8 , wherein said secure element comprises a horizontal travel button mounted on a horizontal groove of the cover of said support structure and being connected to a guide rail element housed in the structure which embraces a protrusion of said first cam, which being slidably embraced by said first elongate axis attached to the lid, can displaced horizontally to remove said first cam and to avoid contact with the cross shaped thrust cam attached to the rod, disabling the axis of the lid and preventing the lid is lowered when the water tank is discharged.
10 . A device with pedal drive mechanisms and hydraulic actuator to raise and lower, respectively, the lid and seat of a toilet according to claim 8 , wherein said locking element comprises a button slidably mounted in a horizontal groove of the support structure cover and which comprises fixedly a locking cam which is displaced arranged on the cross-shaped thrust cam of the rod, obstructing the upstroke of the rod and preventing that the lid and seat to be lowered automatically when discharging the water tank of the toilet.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
