Abstract

An exemplary method for manufacturing a heat dissipation device includes the following steps. First, providing fins spaced from each other. Then, providing an electric conductor extending through the fins and being electrically connected to the fins. Next, immersing the combination of the fins and the electric conductor into an electrolyte of an electrolytic cell. After that, connecting an anode of the electrolytic cell with the electric conductor in an electric conductive relationship. Finally, providing the anode with electrical power to form metal oxide films over surfaces of the fins and the electric conductor.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A method for manufacturing a heat dissipation device, comprising:
providing a plurality of fins spaced from each other; providing at least an electric conductor extending through the fins and being electrically connected to the fins; immersing the combination of the fins and the at least an electric conductor into an electrolyte of an electrolytic cell; connecting an anode of the electrolytic cell with the at least an electric conductor in an electric conductive relationship; and providing the anode with electrical power to form metal oxide films over surfaces of the fins and the at least an electric conductor.

2 . The method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the at least an electric conductor has a shape of an elongated post.

3 . The method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the fins are made of aluminum and define therein a plurality of through holes receiving the at least an electric conductor.

4 . The method as claimed in claim 3 , wherein a plurality of collars respectively project upwardly from the fins at edges of the through holes, and are mounted around the at least an electric conductor and in intimate contact with the at least an electric conductor.

5 . The method as claimed in claim 4 , wherein the through holes of the fins are in a line and the collars around corresponding through holes in the line cooperatively form a receiving tube receiving the at least an electric conductor therein.

6 . The method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the fins each have two flanges extending perpendicularly from two opposite side edges thereof, by which the fins are spaced from each other.
