Abstract

The present invention is a Torah scroll ornament comprising a Torah crown having at least two latching members and a Torah scroll base having an oval-like shape with an opening for scroll's upper handles and configured to fit to the top surface of a covered Torah scroll, wherein said Torah scroll base is releasably connected to said Torah crown.

1 . A Torah scroll ornament comprising:
 a. a Torah crown having at least two latching members;   b. a Torah scroll base having an oval-like shape with an opening for scroll's upper handles and configured to fit to the top surface of a covered Torah scroll, wherein said Torah scroll base is releasably connected to said Torah crown.   
     
     
         2 . A Torah scroll ornament of  claim 1 , wherein each of the said latching members is located on the opposite side of the outer lower surface of the Torah crown. 
     
     
         3 . A Torah scroll ornament of  claim 2 , wherein said latching members are protuberant latching members. 
     
     
         4 . A Torah scroll of  claim 3 , wherein said latching members have a spherical shape. 
     
     
         5 . A Torah scroll of any previous claim, wherein said Torah scroll base is configured to be connected to the covered Torah scroll by fasteners. 
     
     
         6 . A Torah scroll of any previous claim, wherein said Torah scroll base comprises two swiveling engagement members, each positioned on the opposite side of the Torah scroll base, and wherein each of said engagement members comprises a latching portion configured to be snap connected to the latching member of the Torah crown. 
     
     
         7 . Method of securing a Torah crown to a covered Torah scroll comprising the steps of:
 a. attaching a Torah scroll base to a covered Torah scroll;   b. positioning a Torah crown on the Torah scroll base;   c. releasably securing said Torah crown to the Torah scroll base.
