Abstract
An exterior defrosting system for a motor vehicle comprising: a heat source; a systems of ducts arranged on the under side of the vehicle; and a plurality of vents along the duct system, where the vents provide a stream of hot air on the underside of the vehicle. In one exemplary embodiment, at least one vent may be positioned near each wheel of the vehicle. A heat source such as a vent box may force air through the duct system, where the plurality of vents is placed a frame of the motor vehicle.

1 . A exterior defrosting system for a motor vehicle comprising:
a. a heat source; b. a systems of ducts arranged on the under side of the vehicle; and c. a plurality of vents along the duct system, where the vents provide a stream of hot air on the underside of the vehicle.
2 . The exterior defrosting system according to claim 1 , where at least one vent is positioned near each wheel of the vehicle.
3 . The exterior defrosting system according to claim 1 where a vent box forces air through the duct system.
4 . The exterior defrosting system according to claim 1 , where the plurality of vents is placed a frame of the motor vehicle.
5 . A method of defrosting the underside of a motor vehicle comprising the steps of:
a. providing a heat source for the underside of a motor vehicle; b. extending a duct system from the heat source; c. positioning the duct system on the underside of the motor vehicle; and d. placing a plurality of vents on the duct system.
6 . The method according to claim 5 , where the step of placing a plurality of vents on the duct system includes positioning at least one vent near each wheel of the vehicle.
