Abstract
A method is disclosed. The method includes receiving a message from a remote device. The message includes data. The method further includes analyzing the data using a set of rules. The analyzing includes performing a maintenance analysis by analyzing the data using a set of asset maintenance rules and a set of asset usage rules. Responsive to the analyzing the data using the set of rules, an alert is sent.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method, said method comprising:
one or more servers receiving data from a remote device attached to a mobile physical asset that is remote from the one or more servers, wherein
said data comprises data describing a status of the mobile physical asset and a location of the mobile physical asset;
the one or more servers analyzing said data using a set of rules; and responsive to said analyzing said data using said set of rules, sending an alert related to said status of the mobile physical asset.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein
said analyzing comprises performing a maintenance analysis with respect to maintenance of the mobile physical asset, said alert specifies a maintenance activity to be performed on the mobile physical asset said method further comprises storing said data in a maintenance history, said maintenance history comprises a record of maintenance activities performed on the mobile physical asset, and the mobile physical asset is a vehicle.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said analyzing further comprises
analyzing said data using a location-based rule.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein
said analyzing comprises determining an idle time and an active time of the mobile physical asset, and said alert is a utilization report describing said idle time and said active time of said mobile physical asset.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein
said analyzing comprises determining whether said mobile physical asset has exited a boundary of an approved area, and said alert comprises a notification that said mobile physical asset has exited the boundary of the approved area.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein
said analyzing comprises determining fuel usage of the mobile physical asset, and said alert is a fuel usage report describing said fuel usage of said mobile physical asset.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein
said analyzing comprises determining whether said mobile physical asset is in motion outside of an allowed time, and said alert comprises a notification that said mobile physical asset is in motion outside of said allowed time.
8 . The method of claim, wherein
said method further comprises building a quote associated with said alert; and said quote lists one or more parts required to perform a task associated to said alert.
9 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing program instructions configured, when executed, to cause a server to:
receive data from a remote device attached to a mobile physical asset that is remote from the server, wherein
said data comprises data describing a status of the mobile physical asset and a location of the mobile physical asset,
analyze said data using a set of rules, and responsive to said analyzing said data using said set of rules, send an alert related to said status of said mobile physical asset.
10 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein
said instructions configured to cause said server to analyze said data comprise instructions configured to cause said server to perform a maintenance analysis with respect to maintenance of the mobile physical asset, said alert specifies a maintenance activity to be performed on the mobile physical asset said instructions further comprise instructions configured to cause said server to store said data in a maintenance history, said maintenance history comprises a record of maintenance activities performed on the mobile physical asset, and the mobile physical asset is a vehicle.
11 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein said instructions configured to cause said server to analyze said data using a set of rules further comprise:
instructions configured to analyze said data using a location-based rule.
12 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein
said instructions configured to cause said server to analyze said data comprise instructions configured to cause said server to determine an idle time and an active time of the mobile physical asset, and said alert is a utilization report describing said idle time and said active time of said mobile physical asset.
13 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein:
said instructions configured to cause said processor to analyze said data comprise instructions configured to cause said processor to determine whether said mobile physical asset has exited a boundary of an approved area, and said alert comprises a notification that said mobile physical asset has exited the boundary of the approved area.
14 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein
said instructions configured to cause said processor to analyze said data comprise instructions configured to cause said processor to determine a fuel usage of the mobile physical asset, and said alert is a fuel usage report describing said fuel usage of said mobile physical asset.
15 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein
said instructions configured to cause said processor to analyze said data comprise instructions configured to cause said processor to determine whether said mobile physical asset is in motion outside of an allowed time, and said alert comprises a notification that said mobile physical asset is in motion outside of said allowed time.
16 . A system, comprising:
a processor, instructions, stored on a computer-readable storage medium, configured to cause said processor to perform a method, said method comprising
receiving a message from a remote device attached to a mobile physical asset that is remote from said processor, wherein
said message comprises data describing a status of the mobile physical asset and a location of the mobile physical asset;
analyzing said data using a set of rules; and
responsive to said analyzing said data using said set of rules, sending an alert, wherein the alert specifies a maintenance activity to be performed on the mobile physical asset.
17 . The system of claim 16 , wherein
said analyzing comprises performing a maintenance analysis with respect to maintenance of the mobile physical asset, said alert specifies a maintenance activity to be performed on the mobile physical asset, said method further comprises storing said data in a maintenance history, said maintenance history comprises a record of maintenance activities performed on the mobile physical asset, and the mobile physical asset is a vehicle.
18 . The system of claim 16 , wherein said analyzing further comprises
analyzing said data using a location-based rule.
19 . The system of claim 16 , wherein
said analyzing comprises determining an idle time and an active time of the mobile physical asset, and said alert is a utilization report describing said idle time and said active time of said mobile physical asset.
20 . The system of claim 16 , wherein
said analyzing comprises determining whether said mobile physical asset has exited a boundary of an approved area, and said alert comprises a notification that said mobile physical asset has exited the boundary of the approved area.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
