Abstract

Systems and methods are provided for a gaming system. The gaming system receives from an entertainment game coupled to the gaming system, a player action taken by a player of the entertainment game, the player action conveying an execution of an enabling element of the entertainment game during the player's skillful play of the entertainment game. The gaming system correlates the execution of the enabling element in the entertainment game with a wager in a gambling game coupled to the gaming system and triggers the correlated wager in the gambling game. The gaming system receives from the gambling game, a gambling play result of the triggered correlated wager and augments the enabling element correlated to the wager in the gambling game on the basis of the gambling play result.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A method of operating a gaming system, comprising:
 receiving by the gaming system from an entertainment game coupled to the gaming system, a player action taken by a player of the entertainment game, the player action conveying an execution of an enabling element of the entertainment game during the player's skillful play of the entertainment game; correlating by the gaming system, the execution of the enabling element in the entertainment game with a wager in a gambling game coupled to the gaming system; triggering by the gaming system, the correlated wager in the gambling game; receiving by the gaming system from the gambling game, a gambling play result of the triggered correlated wager; and augmenting by the gaming system, the enabling element correlated to the wager in the gambling game on the basis of the gambling play result.

         2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein a type of the enabling element executed in the entertainment game is correlated by the gaming system to an amount of the wager in the gambling game.

         3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein an amount of the enabling element consumed by execution of the enabling element in the entertainment game is correlated by the gaming system to an amount of the wager in the gambling game.

         4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein an amount of the enabling element in the entertainment game is augmented by the gaming system further on the basis of an amount of the wager in the gambling game.

         5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein a rate of consumption of the enabling element consumed by execution of the enabling element in the entertainment game is correlated by the gaming system to an amount of the wager in the gambling game.

         6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining by the gaming system an amount of the wager in the gambling game based on a level the player achieves in the entertainment game.

         7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein a rate of consumption of the enabling element consumed by execution of the enabling element in the entertainment game is correlated by the gaming system to a rate of the wager in the gambling game.

         8 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage media storing computer-executable instructions for a method of operating a gaming system, the instructions comprising:
 receiving from an entertainment game coupled to the gaming system, a player action taken by a player of the entertainment game, the player action conveying an execution of an enabling element of the entertainment game during the player's skillful play of the entertainment game; correlating the execution of the enabling element in the entertainment game with a wager in a gambling game coupled to the gaming system; triggering the correlated wager in the gambling game; receiving from the gambling game, a gambling play result of the triggered correlated wager; and augmenting the enabling element correlated to the wager in the gambling game on the basis of the gambling play result.

         9 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 8 , wherein a type of the enabling element executed in the entertainment game is correlated to an amount of the wager in the gambling game.

         10 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 8 , wherein an amount of the enabling element consumed by execution of the enabling element in the entertainment game is correlated to an amount of the wager in the gambling game.

         11 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 8 , wherein an amount of the enabling element in the entertainment game is augmented further on the basis of an amount of the wager in the gambling game.

         12 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 8 , wherein a rate of consumption of the enabling element consumed by execution of the enabling element in the entertainment game is correlated to an amount of the wager in the gambling game.

         13 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage media of claim 8 , wherein a rate of consumption of the enabling element consumed by execution of the enabling element in the entertainment game is correlated to a rate of the wager in the gambling game.

         14 . A gaming system, comprising:
 a processor; and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory storing executable instructions for a method of operating the gaming system, the instructions comprising:
 receiving by the gaming system from an entertainment game coupled to the gaming system, a player action taken by a player of the entertainment game, the player action conveying an execution of an enabling element of the entertainment game during the player's skillful play of the entertainment game;
 correlating by the gaming system, the execution of the enabling element in the entertainment game with a wager in a gambling game coupled to the gaming system;
 triggering by the gaming system, the correlated wager in the gambling game;
 receiving by the gaming system from the gambling game, a gambling play result of the triggered correlated wager; and
 augmenting by the gaming system, the enabling element correlated to the wager in the gambling game on the basis of the gambling play result.

         15 . The gaming system of claim 14 , wherein a type of the enabling element executed in the entertainment game is correlated by the gaming system to an amount of the wager in the gambling game.

         16 . The gaming system of claim 14 , wherein an amount of the enabling element consumed by execution of the enabling element in the entertainment game is correlated by the gaming system to an amount of the wager in the gambling game.

         17 . The gaming system of claim 14 , wherein an amount of the enabling element in the entertainment game is augmented by the gaming system further on the basis of an amount of the wager in the gambling game.

         18 . The gaming system of claim 14 , wherein a rate of consumption of the enabling element consumed by execution of the enabling element in the entertainment game is correlated by the gaming system to an amount of the wager in the gambling game.

         19 . The gaming system of claim 14 , wherein an amount of the wager in the gambling game is determined by the gaming system based on a level the player achieves in the entertainment game.

         20 . The gaming system of claim 14 , wherein a rate of consumption of the enabling element consumed by execution of the enabling element in the entertainment game is correlated by the gaming system to a rate of the wager in the gambling game.
