Abstract

An example device includes at least one camera, a memory, a processing system, and a user interface. The user interface includes concurrently displayed first and second buttons, the first button operable for taking a picture using the camera and the second button operable for launching a picture editing application.

We claim: 
     
         1 : A device comprising:
 at least one camera;   a memory;   a processing system; and   a user interface, wherein the user interface comprises concurrently displayed first and second buttons, the first button operable for taking a picture using the camera and the second button operable for launching a picture editing application.   
     
     
         2 : The device according to  claim 1 , wherein the launching of the picture editing application displays a picture stored in the memory 
     
     
         3 : The device according to  claim 2 , wherein the second button comprises a thumbnail corresponding to the stored picture. 
     
     
         4 : The device according to  claim 1 , wherein the user interface further comprises a third button displayed concurrently with the first and second buttons, the third button operable for switching from one camera to another. 
     
     
         5 : The device according to  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a microphone.   
     
     
         6 : The device according to  claim 1 , further comprising:
 wireless communication circuitry.   
     
     
         7 : The device according to  claim 1 , wherein the at least one camera comprises first and second oppositely facing cameras. 
     
     
         8 : The device according to  claim 7 , wherein the user interface further comprises a third button displayed concurrently with the first and second buttons, the third button operable for switching between the first and second cameras. 
     
     
         9 : The device according to  claim 1 , wherein the user interface further comprises a slider control displayed concurrently with the first and second buttons, the slider operable for varying a zoom of an image captured by the at least one camera. 
     
     
         10 : The device according to  claim 9 , wherein the slider control comprises indicia arranged at each end thereof. 
     
     
         11 : The device according to  claim 1 , wherein the first button is horizontally centered. 
     
     
         12 : The device according to  claim 1 , wherein the user interface further displays a real time image captured by the at least one camera. 
     
     
         13 : The device according to  claim 1 , wherein the user interface comprises a touchscreen. 
     
     
         14 : A non-transitory computer readable medium storing a program which, when executed by a processing system of a device including at least one camera, causes the device to perform operations comprising:
 concurrently displaying first and second buttons, the first button operable for taking a picture using the camera and the second button operable for launching a picture editing application.   
     
     
         15 : The non-transitory computer readable medium according to  claim 14 , wherein the launching of the picture editing application displays a picture stored in the memory. 
     
     
         16 : The non-transitory computer readable medium according to  claim 15 , wherein the second button comprises a thumbnail corresponding to the stored picture. 
     
     
         17 : The non-transitory computer readable medium according to  claim 14 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 displaying, concurrently with the first and second buttons, a third button operable for switching from one camera to another.
