a body having an interior region and an external wall surrounding the interior region, the body having a proximal end and a distal end; a cover fabricated for releasable attachment to the proximal end of the body, the cover having an exterior surface on which is located a brush head; a base fabricated for releasable attachment to the distal end of the body; and a plurality of cosmetic applicators of make-up brushes housed within the interior region of the body wherein the plurality of brushes are protected from external damage by the body and the cover and base when the cover and base are attached to the body.

2 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the cover is screwed onto the proximal end of the body and the base is screwed onto the distal end of the body.

3 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the cover is snap fitted onto the proximal end of the body and the base is snap fitted onto the distal end of the body.

4 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the body is cylindrical in shape.

5 . The apparatus of claim 4 further comprising a palette locatable in the interior region of the body, the palette having a plurality of holes particularly sized for handles of particular brushes, so that the palette holds the brushes in place in the interior region of the body.

6 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the body has a length ranging from about 7 inches to about 12 inches.

7 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the body has a length of about 9.5 inches.

8 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the cosmetic applicators comprise make-up brushes.

9 . A makeup brush holder apparatus comprising:
a body having an interior region and an external wall surrounding the interior region, the body having a proximal end and a distal end; a plurality of make-up brushes housed within the interior region of the body wherein the plurality of brushes are protected from external damage by the body; and means for opening the body to allow at least one of the plurality of brushes to be removed from the body.

10 . The apparatus of claim 9 further comprising:
a cover fabricated for releasable attachment to the proximal end of the body, the cover having an exterior surface on which is located a brush head; and
a base fabricated for releasable attachment to the distal end of the body.

11 . The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the body is formed by two substantially identical halves wherein each half of the body has a first edge and a second edge wherein the first edges are permanently joined together and the second edges are not wherein the means for opening the body comprises a latch for non-permanently securing the second edges together to create the interior region of the body.

12 . The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the means for opening the body comprises a removable cap located at a distal end of the body.

13 . The apparatus of claim 12 wherein the proximal end of the body comprises a make-up brush.

14 . The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the body is formed by a proximal half and a distal half which can be detachably coupled to each other.

15 . The apparatus of claim 14 wherein he means for opening the body comprises external threads on a proximal end of the distal half which couple to internal threads o the distal end of the proximal half.

16 . The apparatus of claim 12 further comprising a palette located inside the cap, the palette having a plurality of holes particularly sized for handles of particular brushes, so that the palette holds the brushes in place in the interior region of the body.
