Global secure service provider directory
Abstract
Systems and methods enable members of a secure transaction network to readily identify the appropriate trusted service manager (TSM) to support a particular transaction. A global directory of TSM providers is provided that a secure service provider can use for determining which TSM provider is the authorized manager of a security domain for the particular transaction. In aspect the directory of TSM providers may be stored within a mobile device secure element. In another aspect, the directory of TSM providers may be stored in a central TSM repository. In a further aspect, the directory of TSM providers may be distributed among a number of secondary TSM repositories. The appropriate TSM may be identified based upon a secure element identifier and an application identifier provided by a secure element as part of the transaction. Communication of the identifiers from mobile devices may be via cellular or near field communication links.

52 . A system for supporting secure transactions between a mobile device, a mobile network, and a bank server, the system comprising:
a financial network that is configured to communicate with the mobile network, to communicate with the bank server, and to communicate over the air with the mobile device via the mobile network , wherein the financial network receives at least one message including secure information from the mobile network, said mobile network acting as a primary trusted service manager for a security domain within the mobile device, thereby allowing the financial network to communicate with the security domain within the mobile device, and the financial network is further configured to act as a secondary trusted service manager that conveys financial information from the bank server to the mobile device.
53 . The system of claim 52 , wherein the mobile network comprises a primary trusted service manager server.
54 . The system of claim 52 , wherein the financial network comprises a secondary trusted service manager server.
55 . The system of claim 53 , wherein the financial network comprises a secondary trusted service manager server .
56 . The system of claim 52 , wherein the at least one message including secure information from the mobile network comprises one or more cryptographic keys.
57 . The system of claim 56 , wherein the one or more cryptographic keys allows the financial network to at least one of verify its identity with the mobile device and communicate with the mobile device via the mobile network.
58 . The system of claim 52 , wherein the financial network sends a message to the mobile device via the mobile network that comprises at least one of software, a credit card account number, and one or more cryptographic keys corresponding to the credit card account number.
59 . The system of claim 55 , wherein the at least one message including secure information from the mobile network comprises one or more cryptographic keys.
60 . The system of claim 59 , wherein the one or more cryptographic keys allows the financial network to at least one of verify its identity with the mobile device and communicate with the mobile device via the mobile network.
61 . The system of claim 60 , wherein the financial network sends a message to the mobile device via the mobile network that comprises at least one of software, a credit card account number, and one or more cryptographic keys corresponding to the credit card account number.
62 . A method for supporting secure transactions between a mobile device, a mobile network, and a bank server, the method comprising:
configuring a financial network to communicate with the mobile network, to communicate with the bank server, and to communicate over the air with the mobile device via the mobile network, wherein the financial network receives at least one message including secure information from the mobile network, said mobile network acting as a primary trusted service manager for a security domain within the mobile device, thereby allowing the financial network to communicate with the security domain within the mobile device, and configuring the financial network to act as a secondary trusted service manager that conveys financial information from the bank server to the mobile device.
63 . The method of claim 62 , wherein the mobile network comprises a primary trusted service manager server.
64 . The method of claim 62 , wherein the financial network comprises a secondary trusted service manager server.
65 . The method of claim 63 , wherein the financial network comprises a secondary trusted service manager server.
66 . The method of claim 62 , wherein the at least one message including secure information from the mobile network comprises one or more cryptographic keys.

70 . The method of claim 69 , wherein the one or more cryptographic keys allows the financial network to at least one of verify its identity with the mobile device and communicate with the mobile device via the mobile network.
71 . The method of claim 70 , wherein the financial network sends a message to the mobile device via the mobile network that comprises at least one of software, a credit card account number, and one or more cryptographic keys corresponding to the credit card account number.
72 . A system for supporting secure transactions between a mobile device, a mobile network, and a bank server, the system comprising:
means for configuring a financial network to communicate with the mobile network, to communicate with the bank server, and to communicate over the air with the mobile device via the mobile network, wherein the financial network receives at least one message including secure information from the mobile network, said mobile network acting as a primary trusted service manager for a security domain within the mobile device, thereby allowing the financial network to communicate with the security domain within the mobile device, and means for configuring the financial network to act as a secondary trusted service manager that conveys financial information from the bank server to the mobile device.

A computer program product comprising a computer usable medium having a computer readable program code embodied therein, said computer readable program code adapted to be executed to implement a method for supporting secure transactions between a mobile device, a mobile network, and a bank server, the method comprising:
configuring a financial network to communicate with the mobile network, to communicate with the bank server, and to communicate over the air with the mobile device via the mobile network, wherein the financial network receives at least one message including secure information from the mobile network, said mobile network acting as a primary trusted service manager for a security domain within the mobile device, thereby allowing the financial network to communicate with the security domain within the mobile device, and configuring the financial network to act as a secondary trusted service manager that conveys financial information from the bank server to the mobile device.
