Abstract

Among others, the present invention provides magnetic devices for use on the outer skin of a human body to treat a physical disorder, comprising a magnetic component made of earth magnetic material, a lower metal component for contacting the skin of the human body and configured to match the contour of the skin, an upper metal component for controlling the direction and strength of the magnetic power and optionally configured for hand holding.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

. A magnetic device for use on the outer skin of a human body to treat a physical disorder, comprising a magnetic component made of earth magnetic material, a lower metal component for contacting the skin of the human body and configured to match the contour of the skin, an upper metal component for controlling the direction and strength of the magnetic power and optionally configured for hand holding, wherein the upper and lower metal components are on opposite sides of the magnetic component and connected to the magnetic component, and their relative positions remain unchanged when the device is in use, and wherein use of the device is free from electricity.

. The magnetic device of claim 1 , wherein the magnetic component has a round or oval shape or a shape of at least three sides, a diameter or width ranging from about 0.5 inch to 6 inches, a thickness or height ranging from about 0.5 inch to about 6 inches, and the opposites sides where the lower and upper metal components are connected to the magnetic component have substantially flat or even surfaces.

. The magnetic device of claim 2 , wherein the lower and upper metal components have almost flat or even surfaces on which they are connected to the magnetic components.

. The magnetic device of claim 1 , wherein the lower and upper metal components have almost flat or even surfaces on which they are connected to the magnetic component.

. The magnetic device of claim 4 , wherein the lower metal component overall is in the shape of a stick of a length ranging from about 1 inch to about 8 inches, has a flat, curve or round shape at the side opposite from the side connected to the magnetic component, wherein the flat, curve or round part of the lower metal component, which touches the skin, has a wide or length or diameter ranging from about 0.2 to 4 inches.

. The magnetic device of claim 1 , wherein the upper metal component has a round shape or a shape of at least three sides, a diameter or width ranging from about 0.5 inch to 6 inches, a thickness or height ranging from about 0.5 inch to about 3 inches, and a substantially flat or even surface which is in touch with the magnetic component.

. The magnetic device of claim 6 , wherein the upper metal component on its top (opposite from the side contacting the magnetic component) has a handle for easy hand holding when it is in use.

. The magnetic device of claim 1 , further comprising a non-metal cover outside the magnetic component which complete wraps the magnetic components and at least part of the lower and upper metal component.

. A non-invasive method for treating a disorder in a human, comprising providing a magnetic device and using the magnetic device on the human's outer skin for a period of time determined by the severity of the disorder or disease, wherein the use comprises techniques of acupuncture, chiropractice, physiotherapy, and massage therapy, and the magnetic device comprises a magnetic component made of earth magnetic material, a lower metal component for contacting the skin of the human body and configured to match the contour of the skin, an upper metal component for controlling the direction and strength of the magnetic power and optionally configured for hand holding, wherein the upper and lower metal components are on opposite sides of the magnetic component and connected to the magnetic component, and their relative positions remain unchanged when the device is in use, and wherein use of the device is free from electricity.

. The method of claim 9 , wherein the skin is close to the organ or tissue having the disorder.

. The method of claim 9 , wherein the disorder comprises a mental illness, Parkinson disease, alsema, insomnia, anxiety, migraine, spinal disc dislocation, tendonitis shoulder or elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, knee injury, ankle injury, eating disorder, ringing ears, multiple sclerosis, stroke, paralysis, lupus, chronic traumatic encephalopathy, Charlie's horse, bi-polar disorder, temporomandibular joint disorder, sciatica, abnormal hernia, or arthritis.

. The method of claim 9 , wherein the disorder relates to one or more spinal discs.

. The method of claim 9 , wherein the disorder relates to the brain or central never system of the human being.

. The method of claim 13 , wherein the disorder comprises insomnia, anxiety, or migraine.

. The method of claim 9 , wherein the disorder relates to shoulder, knee, hip, angle, foot, elbow, arm, hand, joint, or wrist.

. The method of claim 9 , wherein the time period ranges from 30 minutes to 12 hours.

. The method of claim 16 , wherein the time period ranges from 45 minutes to 6 hours.

. The method of claim 9 , wherein the magnetic device is used more than once with at least 12-hour time interval, each cycle lasting for a period of time ranging from 15 minutes to 4 hours.

. The method of claim 18 , wherein each cycle lasts for a period of time ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours.

. The method of claim 18 , wherein each cycle lasts for a period of time ranging from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours.

. The method of claim 9 , wherein the magnetic device is repeatedly used (i.e., used more than once, with every two uses having a time interval of at least 24 hours) and each use lasts for a period of time ranging from 15 minutes to 4 hours, from 30 minutes to 2 hours, or from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours.

. The method of claim 9 , wherein the magnetic device is used once for a time period ranging from 15 minutes to 6 hours, within every 24 hours.
