Abstract

A sensor network may be created by collecting information from a plurality of mobile devices, such as cellular telephones. The mobile devices use sensors, such as microphones, cameras, accelerometers, biometric readers, etc. to detect the sensory information. Sensory output related to detected sensory information may be transmitted from a mobile device to a receiver that receives the sensory outputs. The received sensory outputs from a plurality of mobile devices may be aggregated to generate aggregated data, which may be transmitted to one or more receivers that use the aggregated data to perform a function and/or present the aggregated data to a user. Additionally, the aggregated data may be reviewed by a reviewer component that can create (revised) detection instructions regarding how one or more mobile devices are to detect sensory information and/or what sensory information to detect (e.g., to make resulting aggregated data more relevant).

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A method, comprising:
receiving first sensory output from a first mobile device; receiving second sensory output from a second mobile device; and aggregating the first sensory output and the second sensory output based upon one or more search queries.

2 . The method of claim 1 , at least one of the receiving first sensory output or the receiving second sensory output comprising receiving sensory output based upon at least one of:
an accelerometer; a camera; or a biometric receiver.

3 . The method of claim 1 , at least one of the first mobile device or the second mobile device comprising a cellular telephone.

4 . The method of claim 1 , aggregated data produced by the aggregating indicative of a first data set and a second data set.

5 . The method of claim 4 , the first data set indicative of a first environmental condition and the second data set indicative of a second environmental condition.

6 . The method of claim 1 , comprising sending a notification to the first mobile device, the notification configured to instruct the first mobile device to transmit the first sensory output.

7 . The method of claim 6 , the first sensory output received based at least in part upon an endorsement of the notification.

         8 . An apparatus, comprising:
 a collector configured to:
receive first sensory output from a first mobile device; and
receive second sensory output from a second mobile device; and
an aggregator configured to aggregate the first sensory output and the second sensory output based upon one or more search queries.

9 . The apparatus of claim 8 , at least one of the receiving first sensory output or the receiving second sensory output comprising receiving sensory output based upon at least one of:
an accelerometer; a camera; or a biometric receiver.

10 . The apparatus of claim 8 , at least one of the first mobile device or the second mobile device comprising a cellular telephone.

11 . The apparatus of claim 8 , aggregated data produced by the aggregating indicative of a first data set and a second data set.

12 . The apparatus of claim 11 , the first data set indicative of a first environmental condition and the second data set indicative of a second environmental condition.

13 . The apparatus of claim 8 , comprising a component configured to send a notification to the first mobile device, the notification configured to instruct the first mobile device to transmit the first sensory output.

14 . The apparatus of claim 13 , the first sensory output received based at least in part upon an endorsement of the notification.

15 . A computer readable medium comprising instructions that when executed perform a method, comprising:
receiving first sensory output from a first mobile device; receiving second sensory output from a second mobile device; and aggregating the first sensory output and the second sensory output based upon one or more search queries.

16 . The computer readable medium of claim 15 , at least one of the receiving first sensory output or the receiving second sensory output comprising receiving sensory output based upon at least one of:
an accelerometer; a camera; or a biometric receiver.

17 . The computer readable medium of claim 15 , at least one of the first mobile device or the second mobile device comprising a cellular telephone.

18 . The computer readable medium of claim 15 , aggregated data produced by the aggregating indicative of a first data set and a second data set.

19 . The computer readable medium of claim 18 , the first data set indicative of a first environmental condition and the second data set indicative of a second environmental condition.

20 . The computer readable medium of claim 15 , the method comprising sending a notification to the first mobile device, the notification configured to instruct the first mobile device to transmit the first sensory output.
