Abstract

A method of preventing bio-filming during the delivery of photonic energy to a culture or set of organisms in a fluid culture medium, the method including introducing a fluid energy-transfer medium into the fluid culture medium through an interface; and distributing light into the fluid energy-transfer medium as it is introduced into the fluid culture medium.

 a transfer device configured to introduce an energy transfer medium into a fluid culture medium; and   a photometric device including a photoreceptor and a photoemitter, the photoreceptor positioned adjacent to the first opening and the photoemitter positioned adjacent to the second opening, the energy transfer medium configured to separate the photometric device from the fluid culture medium.
