Elastic Adjustable Wrist Strap for a Fashion or Sport Purse

Abstract

An adjustable wrist strap for a purse, either fashion or athletic or both, which would be made either wholly or partially of an elastic material, with an adjustable slider to allow the user to adjust the wrist strap to the ideal size that is required by whatever activity they are participating in at that moment, such as night club dancing, jogging, amusement parks or activities like a wedding, where a potential of slippage or loss of the purse would interfere with the activity. The strap is attached in a fixed/permanent or removable fashion to a small to medium sized purse, in a standard diameter so that people can slide it over their hand. Secondarily, the wrist band would be elastic, not only allowing for comfortable use, but also allowing the ability to be pulled off by stretching in emergency situations, protecting the wearer from possible severe harm.

1 . A wrist strap, designed to be attached in a fixed or removable fashion to a small to medium sized purse, to be worn over the wrist, possessing elastic properties comprising: an adjustable slider which can be made of metal, plastic, cloth, elastic, leather or any synthetic or natural material, which will allow the wearer the ability to cinch the purse to their wrist offering security during a variety of activities, like night club dancing, swimming, running, shopping, handling children, during weddings, or any other activity where slippage or loss would interfere with that activity. 
     
     
         2 . The wrist strap as in  claim 1  would be made of elastic, either wholly or partially, where the elastic material could be made of natural or synthetic rubber or other elastomeric materials, fashioned in solid, woven or other configuration, so as to allow a further level of safety for the wearer if aggressive contact caused the purse to be pulled from their wrist, decreasing physical harm to the wearer. 
     
     
         3 . The wrist strap as in  claim 2  could be of any diameter to allow it to slip over the wearer's wrist while the adjustable slider would allow those with even the smallest wrists, including children, the ability to securely wear the purse. 
     
     
         4 . A wrist strap designed to be connected to a small to medium sized purse which is fabricated partially or wholly of elastic comprising: a adjustable slider designed to loosen or tighten the strap for security and comfort which could be attached to the purse in a detachable fashion by utilizing a clasp of any design, allowing the wearer the ability to enter an activity with a small to medium sized “clutch” style purse having no handle, and then be able to convert it to an activity oriented purse allowing the wearer to dance or run, or manage children, simply by re-attaching the detachable wrist strap. 
     
     
         5 . An adjustable elastic wrist strap to be attached to a small to medium sized purse which could be attached in a fixed or removable fashion comprising: fashion elements like ribbon, beads, metal brads, etc. which would add to the fashion appeal of the wrist strap without effecting the quality or function.
