Abstract
A ceiling fan includes a fan unit and a plurality of blade units connected with the fan unit. Each of the blade units includes an upper blade, a lower blade combined with the upper blade, and a light source located between the upper blade and the lower blade. Thus, each of the blade units is made of a plastic material to decrease the cost of fabrication of the ceiling fan and to reduce the weight of the ceiling fan.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A ceiling fan, comprising:
a fan unit; and a plurality of blade units connected with the fan unit; wherein: each of the blade units includes: an upper blade; a lower blade combined with the upper blade; and a light source located between the upper blade and the lower blade.
2 . The ceiling fan of claim 1 , wherein the upper blade of each of the blade units is made of a transparent plastic material.
3 . The ceiling fan of claim 1 , wherein the lower blade of each of the blade units is made of a transparent plastic material.
4 . The ceiling fan of claim 1 , wherein:
the upper blade of each of the blade units has a side provided with at least one reinforcing strip; and the lower blade of each of the blade units has a side provided with at least one reinforcing channel combined with the reinforcing strip of the upper blade.
5 . The ceiling fan of claim 4 , wherein the reinforcing channel of the lower blade of each of the blade units is combined with the reinforcing strip of the upper blade by ultrasonic waves.
6 . The ceiling fan of claim 1 , wherein:
the upper blade of each of the blade units has an edge provided with a flange; and the lower blade of each of the blade units has an edge provided with a groove combined with the flange of the upper blade.
7 . The ceiling fan of claim 6 , wherein the groove of the lower blade of each of the blade units is combined with the flange of the upper blade by ultrasonic waves.
8 . The ceiling fan of claim 1 , wherein the light source of each of the blade units is mounted on the lower blade.
9 . The ceiling fan of claim 1 , wherein the light source of each of the blade units is covered by the upper blade.
10 . The ceiling fan of claim 1 , wherein the light source of each of the blade units is light emitting diode (LED) lamp.
11 . The ceiling fan of claim 1 , wherein the light source of each of the blade units has multiple colors to enhance the aesthetic quality of each of the blade units.
12 . The ceiling fan of claim 1 , wherein:
each of the blade units has a first end and a second end and has a thickness that is increased gradually from the first end to the second end thereof; and each of the blade units is designed by an aerodynamic principle to have a tapered shape with a variable thickness, so as to reduce an electro-mechanical load, to increase its rotation speed, and to stabilize a downward air current.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
