Abstract
An automated drawer slide integrates a linear motor drive system into a drawer slide mechanism. The drawer slide chassis comprises: a case rail of channel profile, a drawer rail of channel profile, and some extension slide. A linear motor unit having a primary (a stator) and a secondary (a mover) provided for the slide and away from the primary (a stator) with a gap interposed there between.

2 . An automated drawer slide apparatus comprising:
an automated drawer slide includes a case rail of channel profile, a drawer rail of channel profile, extension slide, a plurality of balls, a plurality of permanent magnets, a plurality of coils and at least 2 hall effect elements, the plurality of balls are between the case rail of channel profile and the drawer rail of channel profile as the bearing, the plurality of coils are close to the plurality of permanent magnets, the electromagnetic force is used to drive the drawer rail of the channel profile away from the case rail of the channel profile, to automatically return to closed position based on the linear motor principle.

The apparatus according to claim 2 the drawer rail of channel profile movably mounted relative to the case rail of channel profile, the drawer rail of channel profile is movably between the closed position and the open position, the plurality of coils movably mounted relative to the plurality of permanent magnets, the drawer rail of channel profile (or the case rail of channel profile) mounted on the coils, the case rail of channel profile (or the drawer rail of channel profile) mounted on the permanent magnets, the plurality of coils move relatively to a plurality of permanent magnets once power on based on the electromagnetic force, the plurality of coils (or the plurality of permanent magnets) provide the force to drive the drawer rail of channel profile moving relatively to the case rail of channel profile.
4 . The apparatus according to claim 3 wherein the straight linear movement of the drawer rail of channel profile relative to the case rail of channel profile is driven by the plurality of coil (or the plurality of permanent magnets).
5 . The apparatus according to claim 2 wherein the linear motor comprising of the plurality of coils and the plurality of permanent magnets, DC and AC power can apply to the coil to produce the electromagnetic force based on a various of layouts.
