Abstract
A panel set system and storage system is provided having faces which can be easily interchanged, creating a new look for the furniture and even the whole room. The new décor is easily accomplished at reasonable prices the average homeowner can afford.

1 ) A storage system comprising:
a plurality of panel sets including a first panel set having a plurality of edges, opposing interior and exterior faces, and a plurality of layers including a replaceable exterior layer panel set; and a frame having a plurality of legs including a first plurality of legs of the plurality of legs configured to support the first panel set, wherein the first plurality of legs includes at least one leg that corresponds to the respective plurality of edges of the first panel set; and wherein: the frame and the plurality of panel sets define a cavity of the storage system disposed behind the interior face of the first panel set, the first plurality of legs and the first panel set are configured for the exterior layer panel set to be replaceably coupled with other layers of the first panel set, and at least one of the plurality of edges of the first panel set are concealed by the frame.
2 ) The storage system in claim 1 , wherein the first panel set of the storage system is inserted in the frame with the interior face of the first panel set approaching the plurality of legs before the exterior face.
3 ) The storage system in claim 1 , wherein the exterior layer panel set includes an exterior layer and/or a layer with magnetic properties.
4 ) The storage system in claim 1 , wherein the first panel set further comprises a backing panel set having a backing panel set and/or a first layer with magnetic qualities.
5 ) The storage system in claim 1 , wherein the exterior layer panel set is coupled to the backing panel set via magnetic attraction force, mechanical means or adhesive means
6 ) The exterior layer panel set in claim 2 , wherein the first layer with magnetic properties is coupled to the second layer with magnetic properties by a magnetic attraction force.
7 ) The storage system in claim 1 , wherein the frame of the storage system further comprises a second plurality of legs coupled to the first plurality of legs, wherein the second plurality of legs are mounted to a permanent structure.
8 ) The storage system in claim 1 , wherein one or more panel sets of the plurality of panel sets is replaced by a structure.
9 ) The storage system in claim 1 , wherein the exterior layer panel set is flexible.
10 ) The storage system in claim 1 , wherein the exterior layer panel set is rigid.
11 ) The storage system in claim 1 , wherein the storage system further comprises a second panel set having a replaceable exterior layer panel set, and the frame further includes a second plurality of legs, wherein the second plurality of legs are coupled to the first plurality of legs and further define the at least one cavity and frames the second panel set.
12 ) The storage system in claim 1 , wherein the frame and at least the first panel set form a plurality of storage units, wherein each storage unit of the plurality of storage units is selected from a group of storage units consisting of cabinets, drawers and chests.
13 ) The storage system in claim 1 , wherein the first panel set comprises a rigid backing panel set mounted to the first plurality of legs, and wherein the exterior layer panel set couples to the backing panel set via magnetic force, mechanical means or adhesive means.
14 ) The storage system in claim 1 , wherein the backing panel set may be formed of plastic, glass, wood or metal or a combination thereof, and the exterior layer panel set may be formed of plastic, glass, wood and metal or a combination thereof.
15 ) The storage system in claim 1 , wherein the interior face of the first panel set is provided with an access portion that extends through the backing panel set and via which the exterior layer panel set is accessible when the two panel sets are inserted in the frame.
16 ) The interior face of the first panel set in claim 15 , wherein the access portion includes at least one hole extending through the backing panel set.
17 ) The interior face of the first panel set in claim 15 , wherein the access portion includes at least one hole extending through the frame and backing panel set.
18 ) A storage system comprising:
a frame having a plurality of legs defining a plurality of polygonal faces; a first panel set; and a second panel set, wherein: a first plurality of legs of the plurality of legs defines a first face of the plurality of polygonal faces, the first plurality of legs is configured to support the first panel set, the first plurality of legs is configured to support the second panel set, and the first and second panel sets are configured to be supported by the first plurality of legs, and one of the first and second panel sets is selected to be supported by the first plurality of legs when assembled, and when assembled, the first plurality of legs supports the selected panel set.
19 ) The storage system in claim 18 , wherein the first panel set includes a glass panel.
20 ) The storage system in claim 18 , wherein the second panel set includes: a supporting board panel set and an exterior layer panel set.
21 ) The supporting board panel set in claim 20 , wherein the supporting board panel set includes a supporting board.
22 ) The supporting board panel set in claim 20 , wherein the supporting panel set includes a supporting board and a first layer with magnetic properties.
23 ) The exterior layer panel set in claim 20 , wherein the exterior layer panel set includes an exterior layer.
24 ) The exterior layer panel set in claim 20 , wherein the exterior layer panel set includes an exterior layer and a second layer with magnetic properties.
25 ) The second panel set in claim 20 , wherein the supporting board panel set includes a supporting board.
26 ) The second panel set in claim 20 , wherein the supporting board panel set includes a supporting board and a first layer with magnetic properties.
27 ) The second panel set in claim 20 , wherein the exterior layer panel set includes an exterior layer.
28 ) The second panel set in claim 20 , wherein the exterior layer panel set includes an exterior layer and a second layer with magnetic properties.
29 ) The supporting board panel set in claim 20 , wherein the exterior layer panel set includes an exterior layer and a second layer with magnetic properties, and wherein the second layer with magnetic properties couples magnetically to the first layer with magnetic properties.
30 ) A panel set system comprising:
a plurality of panel sets including a first panel set having a plurality of edges, an exterior face, an opposing interior face, a plurality of layers and a replaceable exterior layer panel set; and a frame having a plurality of legs defining at least one face and including a leg that corresponds to the respective plurality of edges of the first panel set; and wherein: the first plurality of legs is configured to support the first panel set, the first plurality of legs and the first panel set are configured for the exterior layer panel set to be replaceably coupled with other layers of the first panel set, and at least one of the plurality of edges of the first panel set are concealed by the frame.
31 ) The panel set system in claim 30 wherein the first panel set of the panel set system is inserted in the frame with its interior face approaching the plurality of legs before the exterior face.
32 ) The panel set system in claim 30 further comprising a second panel set cooperating with the first panel set to form a cavity therebetween, wherein at least one hole in the interior face of at least the first panel set provides access to the cavity and to at least one exterior layer panel set of the panel set system.
33 ) The panel set system in claim 30 wherein the interior face of at least the first panel set includes at least one hole providing access to the exterior layer panel set.
34 ) The cavity in claim 33 , wherein at least one hole over the top, on the side, or under the cavity in one of the panel sets provides access to at least one structure in the cavity, wherein the structure fits into at least one hole in the interior face of the first panel set providing access to the exterior layer panel set.
35 ) The second panel set in claim 33 , wherein the second panel set is an appliance door, and wherein at least one hole over the top, on the side, or under the cavity in one of the panel sets provides access to at least one structure in the cavity, wherein the structure fits into at least one hole in the interior face of the first panel set providing access to the exterior layer panel set.
36 ) The panel set system in claim 30 , wherein the exterior layer panel set includes an exterior layer and/or a second layer with magnetic properties.
37 ) The panel set system in claim 30 , wherein the first panel set further comprises a backing panel set having a backing panel set and/or a first layer with magnetic properties.
38 ) The panel set system in claim 30 , wherein the exterior layer panel set is coupled to the backing panel set via magnetic attraction force, mechanical means or adhesive means.
39 ) The exterior layer panel set in claim 30 , wherein the second layer with magnetic properties is coupled to the first layer with magnetic properties by a magnetic attraction force.
40 ) A storage system comprising:
a plurality of panel sets including a first panel set, the first panel set having a plurality of edges, opposing exterior and interior faces, a plurality of layers including a backing panel set and a replaceable exterior layer panel set; a frame having a plurality of legs including a first plurality of legs of the plurality of legs configured to support the first panel set, wherein the first plurality of legs includes at least one leg that corresponds to the respective plurality of edges of the first panel set; and a cavity of the storage system disposed behind the interior face of the first panel set, defined by the frame and by the plurality of panel sets; and a second plurality of legs coupled to the first plurality of legs, and a second panel set supported by the frame, further defining the cavity; and wherein: the first plurality of legs and first panel set are configured for the exterior layer panel set of the first panel set to be replaceably inserted in the frame and surrounded by the first plurality of legs the first plurality of legs and the first panel set are configured for the exterior layer panel set to be replaceably coupled with other layers of the first panel set, and the backing panel set includes a supporting board and/or a first layer with magnetic properties, and the exterior layer panel set includes an exterior layer and/or a second layer with magnetic properties; and the exterior layer panel set is coupled to the backing panel set adhesively, mechanically, or magnetically; and the plurality of edges of the first panel set are concealed by the frame.
41 ) The storage system in claim 40 , wherein the frame and plurality of panel sets form a plurality of storage units, wherein each storage unit of the plurality of storage units is selected from a group of storage units consisting of cabinets and drawers.
42 ) The storage system in claim 40 , wherein the first plurality of legs are provided with at least one channel for receiving the backing panel set and/or the exterior layer panel set of the first panel set.
43 ) The storage system in claim 40 , wherein the second layer with magnetic properties is coupled to the first layer with magnetic properties via magnetic force.
44 ) The storage system in claim 40 , wherein the first layer with magnetic properties is coupled to the backing panel set.
45 ) The storage system in claim 40 , wherein the second layer with magnetic properties is coupled to the exterior layer.
46 ) The storage system in claim 40 , wherein the legs are coupled to one another to form an integral frame.
47 ) The storage system in claim 40 , wherein the legs of the first panel set are coupled to one another to form the first panel set's integral frame.
48 ) The storage system in claim 40 , wherein a shelf peg insert is coupled to some of the legs.
49 ) The storage system in claim 40 , wherein the first panel set is a door and is coupled to legs of the frame so that the first panel set is a door that can open and close.
50 ) The storage system in claim 40 , wherein the first panel set is coupled to legs of the frame with hinges so that the first panel set can open and close.
51 ) A method of assembling a storage system, the method comprising the steps of:
i) Coupling a first plurality of legs to form an integral frame that at least partially defines a cavity; and ii) Inserting a plurality of panel sets into the frame, including a first panel set; and iii) Coupling an exterior layer set to a backing panel set through the front face of the storage system so that the frame conceals the edges of the first panel set; and
52 ) The method of assembling a storage system in claim 51 , further comprising the step of assembling and coupling additional and multiple storage units of the storage system.
53 ) The method of assembling a panel set system in claim 51 , further comprising the step of inserting one's finger or a simple implement into at least one hole provided in the interior face of the first panel set.
54 ) The method of assembling a panel set system in claim 51 , further comprising the step of applying a force to the exterior layer panel set via the hole in the first panel set's interior face and disrupting the coupling between the exterior layer set and the backing panel set, removing the exterior layer panel set.
55 ) A method of assembling a panel set system, the method comprising the steps of:
i) Coupling a first plurality of legs to form an integral frame; and ii) Inserting a plurality of panel sets into the frame, including a first panel set; and iii) Coupling an exterior layer set to a backing panel set through the front face of the storage system so that the frame conceals the edges of the first panel set.
56 ) The method of assembling a panel set system in claim 55 , wherein the step of inserting a plurality of panel sets into the frame further comprises inserting each panel set so that its interior approaches the plurality of legs before its exterior face.
57 ) The method of assembling a panel set system in claim 55 , further comprising the step of inserting one's finger or a simple implement into at least one hole provided in the interior face of the first panel set
