Nf-kb inhibitor
Abstract
An NF-κB inhibitor which can be easily obtained and consumed in daily dietary life and can inhibit transcription activation by NF-κB is provided. When osteoblasts in which NF-κB is activated by TNF-α is cultured in a medium containing Sargassum horneri or a processed product thereof, for example, a Sargassum horneri water extract of molecular weight up to 3,000, transcription activation by NF-κB can be inhibited. In addition, when osteoclast precursor cells in which NF-κB is activated by RANKL is cultured in a medium containing Sargassum horneri or a processed product, for example, a Sargassum horneri water extract thereof of molecular weight up to 3,000, transcription activation by NF-κB can be inhibited.

2 . The NF-κB inhibitor according to claim 1 , wherein the processed product of Sargassum horneri is an extract of Sargassum horneri.
3 . The NF-κB inhibitor according to claim 2 , wherein the extract of Sargassum horneri is a water extract of Sargassum horneri.
4 . The NF-κB inhibitor according to claim 3 , wherein the water extract of Sargassum horneri is a Sargassum horneri water extract having a molecular weight of 3,000 or less.
5 . A composition for inhibiting transcription activation by NF-κB, comprising the NF-κB inhibitor according to claim 1 .
6 . A composition for inhibiting transcription activation by NF-κB, comprising the NF-κB inhibitor according to claim 2 .
7 . A composition for inhibiting transcription activation by NF-κB, comprising the NF-κB inhibitor according to claim 3 .
