Abstract
A smoking article can comprise a rod of smoking material enclosed in a wrapper wherein the wrapper is provided with a design which comprises thermoresilient material.

a rod of smoking material enclosed in a wrapper, wherein the wrapper is provided with a design, and the design comprises thermoresilient material, in which the wrapper and the design are configured such that the design is visible after combustion.
2 . The smoking article according to claim 1 , wherein the thermoresilient material comprises an oxide of iron.
3 . The smoking article according to claim 1 , Wherein the wrapper a dry weight of 22-35 g/m 2 and wherein the wrapper comprises chalk.
4 . The smoking article according to claim 3 , wherein the wrapper comprises 22-35% chalk.
5 . The smoking article according to claim 3 , wherein the wrapper comprises 0.6-2% potassium citrate.
6 . The smoking article according to claim 1 , wherein the design comprises a logo.
7 . The smoking article according to claim 1 , wherein the design comprises a portion of a logo.
8 . The smoking article according to claim 1 , Wherein the design comprises a letter.
9 . The smoking article according to claim 1 , wherein the design comprises a portion of a letter.
10 . The smoking article according to claim 1 , wherein the wrapper has an outer portion facing away from the rod of smoking material, and the design is provided on the outer portion of the wrapper.
11 . A method of producing a smoking article, comprising:
enclosing a rod of smokable material in a wrapper, and providing the wrapper with a design at least one of before and after enclosing the rod in the wrapper, wherein the providing comprises applying thermoresilient material to the wrapper, and configuring the wrapper and the design such that the design is visible after combustion,
12 . The method according to claim it, wherein the applying comprises printing.
13 . The method according to claim ii, wherein the applying comprises spraying.
14 . The method according to claim 11 , further comprising drying the wrapper after providing the wrapper with a design.
15 . The method according to claim 14 wherein the applying further comprises applying a suspension of thermoresilient material to the wrapper.
16 . The method according to claim 11 , wherein the applying further comprises applying a solution of thermoresilient material to the wrapper.
