Abstract
A method for producing a multi-layer decorating element includes the steps of: (a) providing a base, a first plate, a second plate and an adhesive layer; (b) stacking the first and second plates onto one of the base and the adhesive layer; (c) stacking the other of the base and the adhesive layer onto one of the base and the adhesive layer to form a stacked array; (d) hot pressing the stacked array; and (e) removing the adhesive layer.

1 . A multi-layer decorating element comprising:
a base; a first plate including a proximal side, a distal side opposite from the proximal side and a hot melt glue layer provided on the proximal side thereof, with the hot melt glue layer of the first plate connected to the base; and a second plate including a proximal side, a distal side opposite from the proximal side and a hot melt glue layer provided on the proximal side thereof, with the hot melt glue layer of the second plate connected to the distal side of the first plate; wherein each of the base, the first and second plates is connected with each other by hot pressing.

The multi-layer decorating element as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the first and second plates are sandwiched between the base and an adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive layer prevents the first and second plates from moving with respect to the base and is removed when the base and the first and second plates are hot pressed together.
3 . The multi-layer decorating element as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the second plate has a periphery which extends outside that of the first plate, with the second plate having a first section directly connected to the first plate and a second section directly connected to the base.
4 . The multi-layer decorating element as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the second plate has a periphery which is completely within that of the first plate.
5 . The multi-layer decorating element as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a surface of the multi-layer decorating element is ridges and hills irregularly, with the second plate having a thickness different from that of the first plate.
6 . The multi-layer decorating element as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the base is constructed of cloth.
7 . The multi-layer decorating element as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the base is constructed of leather.
8 . The multi-layer decorating element as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the first plate is constructed of thermoplastic polyurethane.
9 . The multi-layer decorating element as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the second plate has a periphery which extends outside that of the first plate, with the second plate having a first section directly connected to the first plate and a second section directly connected to the base.
10 . The multi-layer decorating element as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the second plate has a periphery which is completely within that of the first plate.
11 . The multi-layer decorating element as claimed in claim 2 , wherein a surface of the multi-layer decorating element is ridges and hills irregularly, with the second plate having a thickness different from that of the first plate.
12 . The multi-layer decorating element as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the base is constructed of cloth.
13 . The multi-layer decorating element as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the base is constructed of leather.
