Automatic Incubation and Revival of Messages in Message Systems

Abstract

A computerized message transaction system has an incubation function and a storage repository. In this system a transaction or a version of the transaction may be stored for a pre-specified period of time, and may be revived at the end of the specified time.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method comprising:
 providing to a user's computerized station through software executing on a network-connected computerized appliance from a non-transitory physical medium, an interactive window comprising a first entry field enabling the user to identify an intended recipient of a telephone call, and a second entry field enabling the user to identify at least one other person or enterprise other than the intended recipient;   entering by the user information identifying the intended recipient and information identifying the at least one other person or enterprise;   selecting by the user an initiation mechanism, causing the telephone call to be placed to the intended recipient; and   recording in a data repository coupled to the network-connected appliance, the voice exchange in the telephone call between the user and the intended recipient, by the software executing on the internet-connected computerized appliance.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1  wherein the software executing on the network-connected appliance renders a text version of the recorded voice exchange in the telephone call, and provides the text version to the at least one other person or enterprise. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1  further comprising incubation functionality selectable by the user in the interactive window, wherein the recorded version of the voice exchange is stored for a pre-specified time period, and revived at the end of the time period. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 3  wherein upon revival an alert is provided to the user of the system. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 4  wherein the alert is one or both of an audio or a visual alert. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 4  wherein, at the time of the alert, the recorded version of the call is retrieved and presented to the user. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 4  wherein, at the time of the alert, the text version of the call is retrieved and sent to the user.
