Abstract
A method for delivering a therapeutic or medicinal substance, comprising sensing a patient to generate a sleep stage signal indicating a patient's sleep stage, and releasing and/or delivering a therapeutic or medicinal substance via the patient's airways in accordance with the sleep stage signal.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 30 . (canceled)
31 . A method for delivering a therapeutic or medicinal substance, comprising:
sensing a patient to generate a sleep stage signal indicating a patient's sleep stage; and releasing and/or delivering a therapeutic or medicinal substance via the patient's airways in accordance with the sleep stage signal.
32 . A flow generator for generating a supply of pressurized air to be provided to a patient for treatment, the flow generator comprising a control unit to operate the flow generator and an alarm to wake the patient from sleep.
33 . The flow generator according to claim 32 , further comprising a sleep stage monitor configured to monitor the patient's sleep stage and activate the alarm based on the patient's sleep stage.
34 . The flow generator according to claim 32 , wherein the alarm includes a basic alarm clock that is settable to sound an alarm at a desired time.
35 . The flow generator according to claim 34 , wherein the control unit is configured to program and operate the basic alarm clock.
36 . An apparatus for delivering a therapeutic or medicinal substance, comprising:
a sensor to generate a sleep stage signal indicating a patient's sleep stage; and a device adapted to release and/or deliver a therapeutic or medicinal substance via the patient's airways in accordance with the sleep stage signal.
37 . A method for controlling a flow generator for generating a supply of pressurized air to be provided to a patient for treatment, comprising:
operating the flow generator; and generating an alarm to wake the patient from sleep.
38 . The method according to claim 37 , further comprising monitoring the patient's sleep stage and activating the alarm based on the patient's sleep stage.
39 . The method according to claim 37 , wherein the alarm includes an alarm clock that is settable to sound an alarm at a desired time.
40 . The method according to claim 39 , further comprising programming and operating the alarm clock with a control unit of the flow generator.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
