Abstract

The invention relates to a beverage container comprising a container body ( 20 ) having a wall extending between a bottom and a wide-mouth opening and a stopper for closing said opening, the interior wall of the container body comprising first securement means ( 26 ) by which the stopper may be releasably secured to the container body, the stopper comprising second securement means ( 36 ) mating with the first securement means, a first lid ( 32 ), and a second lid ( 34 ) such that, when the stopper is secured to the container body, a first volume is defined in the container body between the bottom of the container body and the first lid and a second volume is defined in the container body between the first lid and the second lid. The invention further relates to a container body and a stopper for use in such a container.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A beverage container comprising a container body having a wall extending between a bottom and a wide-mouth opening and a stopper for closing said opening,
the interior wall of the container body comprising first threads by which the stopper may be releasably secured to the container body, the stopper comprising second threads mating with the first threads, a first lid, and a second lid such that, when the stopper is secured to the container body, a first volume is defined in the container body between the bottom of the container body and the first lid and a second volume is defined in the container body between the first lid and the second lid, wherein the first threads are provided in an area of the container body where a consumer does not place his mouth.

         2 . (canceled)

3 . A beverage container according to claim 1 containing a carbonated drink in the first volume.

4 . A beverage container according to claim 3 , wherein when the stopper is secured to the container body, the second volume is large enough for containing liquor and/or a plurality of ice cubes, and
wherein the second volume is substantially empty.

5 . A beverage container according to claim 1 , wherein said second lid is in sealing contact with the rim of the opening of the container body when the stopper is secured to the container body.

6 . A beverage container according to claim 3 , wherein the first volume is slightly larger than a predefined quantity of carbonated drink to be stored in the beverage container and wherein said predefined quantity of carbonated drink is 200 ml.

7 . A beverage container according to claim 6 , wherein when the stopper is secured to the container body, the second volume is at least approximately 150 ml.

8 . A beverage container according to claim 1 , wherein the ratio of the first volume to the second volume is between approximately 0.8 and approximately 3.15, preferably between approximately 1.1 and approximately 1.7.

9 . A beverage container according to claim 1 , wherein the first volume is slightly larger than a predefined quantity of carbonated drink to be stored in the beverage container and wherein said predefined quantity of carbonated drink is 350 ml and the second volume is at least approximately 50 ml, preferably at least 70 ml.

10 . A beverage container according to claim 1 , wherein the stopper comprises a gasket ring and the container body comprises a corresponding sealing flange, such that when the stopper is secured to the container body the gasket ring is in sealing contact with the sealing flange of the container body in such a way as to seal the first volume.

11 . A beverage container according to claim 10 , wherein the gasket ring is arranged at or near the first lid.

12 . A beverage container according to claim 11 , wherein the gasket ring is integrally formed with the first lid.

13 . A container body for use in the beverage container of claim 1 , the container body having a wall extending between a bottom and a wide-mouth opening, the interior wall of the container body comprising first threads by which a stopper may be releasably secured to the container body, wherein the first threads are not provided in an area of the container body where a consumer may place his mouth.

         14 . (canceled)

15 . A container body according to claim 13 , wherein the first threads are helical threads or bayonet threads.

         16 . (canceled)

17 . A container body according to claim 1 , wherein the volume between the opening of the container body and the first threads is at least approximately 150 ml.

18 . A stopper for use in the beverage container of claim 10 , comprising a first lid, and a second lid connected to the first lid via a central shaft and/or a cylindrical wall, a gasket ring and threads wherein the threads are arranged at or near the first lid.
