Abstract

A fixture for adapting a rod for hanging fabric articles including: at least one elongated body and a means for attaching the elongated body to the rod. The elongated body may contact the rod or be distanced from the rod. Also, a fixture for hanging fabric articles including: a rod, at least one elongated body attached to the rod, and at least one radial arm extending from the rod. In either case, the elongated body may have a plurality of openings therethrough. Also, a fixture for hanging fabric articles including: an elongated body having an outer surface, an inner surface, and a plurality of openings and at least one radial arm extending from the elongated body for attaching the fixture to a wall. In all cases, the elongated body may take the form of a contoured plate or define a sidewall defining a central passageway.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
The invention claimed is:

1 . A fixture for adapting a rod for drying fabric articles comprising:
at least one elongated body, and a means for attaching the elongated body to the rod.

2 . The fixture according to claim 1 , wherein when the fixture is attached to the rod, the rod does not contact the at least one elongated body.

3 . The fixture according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one elongated body has an outer surface, an inner surface, and a plurality of openings extending from the outer surface to the inner surface.

4 . The fixture according to claim 3 , wherein the inner surface defines at least one sidewall that defines a central passageway for receiving the rod and the fixture further comprises at least one spacer disposed within the central passageway to distance the rod from the sidewall.

5 . The fixture according to claim 4 , wherein the elongated body comprises at least two portions connected to form the at least one sidewall.

6 . The fixture according to claim 5 , wherein the at least two portions of the elongated body are connected by mating engagements.

7 . The fixture according to claim 4 , further comprising a door in the sidewall allowing access to the central passageway.

8 . The fixture according to claim 4 , further comprising an aromatic, deodorant, absorbent, odor neutralizer, or a combination thereof disposed within the central passageway.

9 . The fixture according to claim 1 , wherein the elongated body is a contoured plate.

10 . The fixture according to claim 9 , wherein the elongated body is distanced from the rod by at least one radial arm extending from the contoured plate and adapted for connection to the rod.

11 . The fixture according to claim 10 , wherein the at least one radial arm further comprises a portion having a shape corresponding to a cross-section of the rod and designed to slide over the rod.

12 . The fixture according to claim 1 , comprising at least two rod-shaped elongated bodies, wherein the rod shaped elongated bodies are distanced from the rod by radial arms adapted for attachment to the rod.

13 . A fixture for drying fabric articles comprising:
an elongated body comprising an outer surface, an inner surface, and a plurality of openings extending from the outer surface to the inner surface, and at least one radial arm extending from the elongated body.

14 . The fixture according to claim 13 , further comprising end caps at a first end and a second end of the elongated body wherein a radial arm extends from each end cap.

15 . The fixture according to claim 13 , wherein the at least one radial arm is adapted for attachment to a wall or other vertical surface.

16 . The fixture according to claim 13 , wherein the elongated body is a contoured plate.

17 . The fixture according to claim 13 , wherein the inner surface defines at least one sidewall that defines a central passageway.

18 . The fixture according to claim 17 , further comprising a door in the sidewall allowing access to the central passageway.

19 . The fixture according to claim 17 , further comprising an aromatic, deodorant, absorbent, odor neutralizer, or a combination thereof disposed within the central passageway.

20 . A fixture for drying fabric articles comprising:
a rod, at least one elongated body attached to the rod, and at least one radial arm extending from the rod.
