Apparatus for removing exhaust gas pressure and preventing backflow of exhaust gas
Abstract
An apparatus for removing exhaust gas pressure and preventing backflow of exhaust gas is disclosed. The apparatus includes a mounting pipe, which is fitted over the end of an exhaust gas pipe of an internal combustion engine and has therein backflow gas guide holes at positions adjacent to the exhaust gas pipe, and a secondary exhaust gas pipe, which surrounds the mounting pipe. In the apparatus, a backflow passage is defined between the mounting pipe and the secondary exhaust gas pipe, so that a backflowing portion of exhaust gas, which is discharged from the mounting pipe, is drawn into the backflow passage and is guided into the mounting pipe through the backflow gas guide holes, and the guided backflow gas is discharged outside again.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . (canceled)
2 . An apparatus for removing pressure and preventing backflow of exhaust gas comprising:
a fixed pipe configured to fit into an end of an exhaust pipe or a boiler pipe extending from an internal combustion engine; and a second exhaust pipe installed to surround the fixed pipe, wherein the fixed pipe includes:
a non-fitted portion protruding outwardly from the end of the exhaust pipe;
a hollow interior in communication with the exhaust pipe; and
a plurality of fixed pipe flow apertures formed along a circumference at a position adjacent to the end of the exhaust pipe,
wherein a backward stream channel is formed between the fixed pipe and the second exhaust pipe to inflow backward stream gas that flows backward among exhaust gas discharged through the fixed pipe, the backward stream gas is guided into an interior of the fixed pipe through the fixed pipe flow apertures, and the guided backward stream gas is again discharged outwardly, wherein the fixed pipe has a funnel shape formed obliquely against a central axis from one end fitted into the end of the exhaust pipe towards the other end, so that a cross-sectional area of the backward stream channel becomes gradually large from one end towards the other end.
3 . The apparatus for removing pressure and preventing backflow of exhaust gas according to claim 2 , wherein each of ends of the fixed pipe and the second exhaust pipe that are not fixed to the exhaust pipe is curved towards a center portion, an inner cross-sectional area of a curved portion of the second exhaust pipe is larger than that of a curved portion of the fixed pipe, and the end of the fixed pipe that is not fixed to the exhaust pipe is further provided with an inner tube having a honeycomb structure.
4 . The apparatus for removing pressure and preventing backflow of exhaust gas according to claim 2 , further comprising a fixed pipe blade installed inside of the fixed pipe to minimize a collision of backward stream gas from the fixed pipe flow apertures with exhaust gas and to increase the discharge rate of exhaust gas for discharging the exhaust gas rapidly and smoothly.
5 . The apparatus for removing pressure and preventing backflow of exhaust gas according to claim 4 , wherein the fixed pipe blade comprises a plurality of blades each provided inside of the fixed pipe between the plurality of fixed pipe flow apertures and a conical blade body located at a center portion where the plurality of blades are contacted with one another.
6 . The apparatus for removing pressure and preventing backflow of exhaust gas according to claim 5 , wherein the blades are obliquely bent at a certain slope against a discharge direction.
7 . The apparatus for removing pressure and preventing backflow of exhaust gas according to claim 4 , wherein a blade tube having a honeycomb structure is further provided in an end of the fixed pipe that is not fixed to the exhaust pipe.
8 . The apparatus for removing pressure and preventing backflow of exhaust gas according to claim 4 , further comprising a fixed pipe blade configured to have one end clamped between the fixed pipe and the exhaust pipe, to incline to a center portion such that a cross-sectional area is reduced towards the discharge direction of exhaust gas to increase the discharge rate of exhaust gas, and to form a second backward stream channel in communication with the fixed pipe flow apertures between the blade and an inner peripheral surface of the fixed pipe.
9 . The apparatus for removing pressure and preventing backflow of exhaust gas according to claim 8 , wherein a blade tube having a honeycomb structure is further provided in an end of the fixed pipe blade in the discharge direction of exhaust gas.
10 . The apparatus for removing pressure and preventing backflow of exhaust gas according to claim 2 , further comprising a third discharge pipe installed to surround the outside of the second exhaust pipe and having an engagement hole for inserting a fastening bolt formed at one end adjacent to the end of the exhaust pipe, so that the second exhaust pipe is more securely fixed to the exhaust pipe.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
