Counter Space Saver

Abstract

The invention provides a revolving compartmental storage receptacle for the essential kitchen supplies and tools that a household user needs close at hand and near the sink. The device comprises a circular disc mounted on a rotating “lazy susan” mechanism. The invention secures rubber gloves, cleaning brushes, scouring pads and sponges and a bottle of liquid dish detergent as well as a manual can opener and a vegetable brush. The Counter Space Saver offers the storing of kitchen essentials and keeps them organized in one place.

1 . A rotating or revolving storage compartment device for kitchen cleaning accessories and functional tools, comprising: a lazy susan mechanism, wherein the top rotating disc comprises an upright support for holding rubber gloves, and compartments for holding cleaning brushes, scouring pads and sponges and a bottle of liquid dish detergent and a manual can opener and a vegetable brush. 
     
     
         2 . The device of  claim 1  fabricated in a hard durable scratch and impact resistant injection molded thermoplastic polymer. 
     
     
         3 . The device of  claim 2 , fabricated in material that is washable and may be produced in a variety of colors to suit various kitchen colors and decors. 
     
     
         4 . The device of  claim 2 , where in the base of the device is circular, measuring approximately ten and one half inches in diameter and comprising a circular track of ball bearings and a rotating top, and wherein the top of the rotating base is molded with form fitting recesses or receptacles into which individually removable receptacles or containers fit. 
     
     
         5 . The device of  claim 4 , wherein the top disc can be lifted off the bottom disc for washing. 
     
     
         6 . The device of  claim 4 , further comprising two cylindrical holders for receiving fingers of rubber gloves, measuring approximately fourteen and one half inches tall inserted into molded components in the top of the base. 
     
     
         7 . The crevice of  claim 4 , further comprising two open top cylinders, each measuring approximately five inches in height and three inches in diameter for receiving long handled bottle brushes and other utensils such as a handheld can opener. 
     
     
         8 . The device of  claim 7  wherein an open top cylinder further comprises a center divider for storage of a hand operated can opener. 
     
     
         9 . The device of  claim 4 , further comprising three rectangular plastic holders to provide storage space for items including a sponge, a vegetable brush and a scouring pad. 
     
     
         10 . The device of  claim 8  wherein one side of the rectangular plastic holder is the back and the back is higher than the other three sides. 
     
     
         11 . The device of  claim 10  wherein the sides of the rectangular plastic holder adjacent to the back slope from the back to the front of the rectangular plastic holder. 
     
     
         12 . The device of  claim 11  wherein the back of the rectangular plastic holder measurements approximately three and one half inches in height, and three and one half inches in width and the front of the rectangular plastic holder measures approximately one and one half inches of depth and one and one half inches in width.
