Mobile and Stabilizing Scaffold Apparatus
Abstract
A mobile and stabilizing scaffold apparatus is provided having a frame, an elevated worker platform, roller wheels, and a plurality of stabilizing members that extend from the frame for stability and vertical positioning of the frame. The frame includes longitudinal side members and end members to provide a largely rectangular structure to support the elevated worker platform. A pair of forward and rear extension members support jack pads that are vertically adjustable to support the frame in a level configuration over uneven or sloping surfaces. A pair of laterally extending roller extension members supports forward rollers outside of the frame extents, whereby the forward rollers are height adjustable. The front roller wheels and a pair of rear rollers provide mobility for the apparatus and are lockable during deployment.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 ) A mobile and stabilizing scaffold apparatus, comprising:
a largely rectangular frame having a set of parallel longitudinal members forming sides of said frame, and a forward and rear cross member forming ends of said frame; an elevated platform for supporting a worker and equipment, said platform connecting to said frame and positioned thereabove; a set of rear stabilizing members deployable from said frame longitudinal members and extendable longitudinally from said frame; a set of forward stabilizing members deployable from said frame longitudinal members and extendable longitudinally from said frame; a set of roller wheel stabilizing members deploying from said frame forward cross member and extendable laterally from said frame; a set of rear roller wheels positioned at said longitudinal member and rear cross member intersection; said forward and rear stabilizing members supporting vertically adjustable jack pads; said roller wheel stabilizing members supporting a vertically adjustable, forward roller wheels; said vertically adjustable jack pads and roller wheels being vertically positionable for lifting and leveling said frame.
2 ) The device of claim 1 , wherein said longitudinal frame members further comprise:
a first tubular section for slideably receiving said rear stabilizing members therein; a plurality of tubular junctions for slideably receiving said forward stabilizing members therethrough.
3 ) The device of claim 1 , wherein said longitudinal frame members further comprise:
a first and second tubular section for slideably receiving said forward and rear stabilizing members therein.
4 ) The device of claim 1 , wherein said forward cross member further comprises a tubular section for slideably receiving said roller wheel stabilizing members therein.
5 ) The device of claim 1 , wherein said longitudinal frame and forward cross members further comprise stops to prevent said stabilizing members from separating therefrom.
6 ) The device of claim 5 , wherein said stops further comprise a spring plunger lock mechanism.
7 ) The device of claim 1 , wherein said jack pad vertical adjustment further comprises a jack assembly for rotatably controlling said jack pad vertical position.
8 ) The device of claim 1 , wherein said vertically adjustable, forward roller wheel further comprise a jack assembly for rotatably controlling said forward roller wheel vertical position.
9 ) The device of claim 1 , wherein said forward and rear roller wheels further comprise a wheel lock assembly for locking said roller wheel rotation.
10 ) The device of claim 1 , wherein said elevated platform further comprises:
vertical supports that extend upward from said frame platform cross members between said vertical supports along said longitudinal members; cross braces between said vertical supports between longitudinal members; said vertical supports, cross members, and cross braces supporting a platform thereabove.
11 ) The device of claim 10 , wherein said vertical support further comprise ladder rails for worker ingress and egress to said platform.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
