Abstract
An apparatus includes a communication unit which communicates with a communication device, and can write data received from the communication device in a memory. The apparatus receives an operation request to the apparatus from the communication device, and stores the received operation request in the memory. The apparatus has a function of specifying a function corresponding to the operation request of a plurality of functions included in the apparatus in a state in which the operation request is stored in the memory. When the function is specified, and is not activated, the apparatus activates the function, and controls the activated function.

1 . An apparatus comprising:
a communication unit which communicates with a communication device, and is configured to write data received from the communication device in a memory; a storage unit configured to receive an operation request to said apparatus by said communication unit from the communication device, and to store the operation request in the memory; a specifying unit configured to specify a function corresponding to the operation request of a plurality of functions included in said apparatus in a state in which said storage unit stores the operation request in the memory; and a control unit configured to activate, when said specifying unit specifies the function and that function is not activated, the function, and to control the activated function.
2 . The apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein when said apparatus is in a second state of a first state in which the plurality of functions are active and the second state in which the number of active functions of the plurality of functions is smaller than the first state, when said specifying unit specifies the function, and when that function is not activated, said control unit controls to activate the function.
3 . The apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein said communication unit is configured to write data in the memory even in a state in which a power supply does not supply electric power to said apparatus, and
the second state is the state in which the power supply does not supply electric power to said apparatus.
4 . The apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein said storage unit stores reservation information of the operation indicated by the operation request in the memory, and
when the power supply supplies electric power to said apparatus, said control unit activates a function corresponding to the reservation information, which is specified by said specifying unit, and controls the activated function.
5 . The apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein said storage unit further stores, in the memory, information required to specify whether said apparatus is in the first state or the second state, and when the communication device specifies according to the information that said apparatus is in the second state, said storage unit stores the reservation information, which is received by said communication unit from the communication device, in the memory.
6 . The apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein the power supply is an AC power supply or a battery.
7 . The apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the second state is a state in which a power supply supplies electric power to said apparatus, and some of the plurality of functions are active.
8 . The apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein said communication unit communicates with the communication device via an NFC.
9 . A control method of an apparatus which includes a communication unit which communicates with a communication device, and is configured to write data received from the communication device in a memory, the method comprising:
a storage step of receiving an operation request to the apparatus by the communication unit from the communication device, and storing in the memory; a specifying step of specifying a function corresponding to the operation request of a plurality of functions included in the apparatus in a state in which the operation request is stored in the memory in the storage step; and a control step of activating, when the function is specified in the specifying step and that function is not activated, the function, and controlling the activated function.

The method according to claim 9 , wherein in the control step, when the apparatus is in a second state of a first state in which the plurality of functions are active and the second state in which the number of active functions of the plurality of functions is smaller than the first state, when the function is specified in the specifying step, and when that function is not activated, the function is controlled to be activated.
11 . The method according to claim 10 , wherein the communication unit is configured to write data in the memory even in a state in which a power supply does not supply electric power to the apparatus, and
the second state is the state in which the power supply does not supply electric power to the apparatus.
12 . The method according to claim 11 , wherein in the storage step, reservation information of the operation indicated by the operation request is stored in the memory, and
in the control step, when the power supply supplies electric power to the apparatus, a function corresponding to the reservation information, which is specified in the specifying step, is activated, and the activated function is controlled.
13 . The method according to claim 12 , wherein in the storage step, information required to specify whether the apparatus is in the first state or the second state is further stored in the memory, and when the communication device specifies according to the information that the apparatus is in the second state, the reservation information, which is received by the communication unit from the communication device, is stored in the memory.
14 . The method according to claim 11 , wherein the power supply is an AC power supply or a battery.
15 . The method according to claim 10 , wherein the second state is a state in which a power supply supplies electric power to the apparatus, and some of the plurality of functions are active.
16 . The method according to claim 9 , wherein the communication unit communicates with the communication device via an NFC.
17 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program for controlling a computer to control an apparatus, which includes a communication unit which communicates with a communication device, and is configured to write data received from the communication device in a memory, the program controlling the computer to function as:
a storage unit configured to receive an operation request to the apparatus by the communication unit from the communication device, and to store the operation request in the memory; a specifying unit configured to specify a function corresponding to the operation request of a plurality of functions included in the apparatus in a state in which the storage unit stores the operation request in the memory; and a control unit configured to activate, when the specifying unit specifies the function and that function is not activated, the function, and to control the activated function.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
