Abstract
A safety wall intended to be placed in front of at least one obstacle for partially absorbing a collision impact with said obstacle, the said safety wall comprising a first element ( 1 ) having an intake ( 3 ) arranged so that it can be connected to a pressurised air source, the said first element ( 1 ) being arranged to be inflated with air to a first predetermined pressure and having a collision zone ( 4 ), the said first element ( 1 ) also being connected to a second element ( 2 ) arranged to be inflated with air to a second predetermined pressure.

A safety wall intended to be placed in front of at least one obstacle for partially absorbing a collision impact with the said obstacle, the said safety wall comprising a first element ( 1 ) comprising an intake ( 3 ) arranged to be connected to a pressurised air source, the said first element ( 1 ) being arranged so that it can be inflated with air to a first predetermined pressure and having a collision zone ( 4 ), the said first element ( 1 ) further being connected to a second element ( 2 ) arranged to be inflated with air to a second predetermined pressure, characterized in that:
the said first element ( 1 ) communicates with the said second element ( 2 ) via at least one decompression valve ( 5 ) allowing transfer of the air contained in the said first element ( 1 ) towards the said second element ( 2 ) over and above a pressure threshold in the said first element ( 1 ), the said second element ( 2 ) also having at least one evacuation valve ( 6 ) evacuating air externally and arranged to allow transfer of the air contained in said second element ( 2 ) towards a surrounding medium over and above a predetermined pressure threshold in said second element ( 2 ).

The safety wall according to claim 1 , characterized in that it further comprises a third element ( 7 ) connected to the said second element ( 2 ), the said second ( 2 ) and third ( 7 ) elements communicating together via at least one decompression valve ( 8 ) allowing transfer of the air contained in said third element ( 7 ) towards the said second element ( 2 ) over and above a predetermined pressure threshold in said third element ( 7 ).
3 . The safety wall according to claim 2 , characterized in that the said third element ( 7 ) is divided longitudinally into a first and a second compartment.
4 . The safety wall according to claim 1 , characterized in that the said first element ( 1 ) is divided longitudinally into a first and a second compartment.
5 . The safety wall according to claim 1 , characterized in that the said second element ( 2 ) is divided longitudinally into a first and a second compartment.
6 . The safety wall according to claim 3 , characterized in that the said first and second compartments communicate together via at least one decompression valve.
7 . The safety wall according to claim 1 , characterized in that it comprises several air intakes ( 3 ) each connected to an element of the said safety wall.
8 . The safety wall according to claim 1 , characterized in that it comprises fixing elements ( 10 ) to hold the said safety wall in place.
9 . The safety wall according to claim 8 , characterized in that the said fixing elements ( 10 ) are securing straps and/or rings through which ring bolts ( 11 ) are passed.
10 . The safety wall according to claim 1 , characterized in that the said collision zone ( 4 ) comprises rigidifying strips ( 9 ).
11 . The safety wall according to claim 1 , characterized in that at least one of the said elements of the said safety wall is surmounted by an advertising banner.
12 . The safety wall according to claim 1 , characterized in that it is formed of a succession of safety walls placed side by side or superimposed.
