Abstract

According to one embodiment, a write-once type information storage medium comprises a recording layer which is formed by mixing a plurality of organic dye based recording materials whose molecular weights are different from each other, and wherein a mixture ratio of organic dye based recording materials whose molecular weight is small is larger than a mixture ratio of organic dye based recording materials whose molecular weight is large.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 2 . (canceled)

3 . An information storage medium comprising:
a data area configured to be able to store modulation data, wherein Non Return to Zero Inverting technique is utilized for the modulation data, the modulation data has a minimum length which relates to the Non Return to Zero Inverting technique, the modulation data is represented by a channel bit length T, the minimum length corresponds to 2T, and PRML system in which PR-class is defined as PR (1, 2, 2, 2, 1) is used for data reproduction.

4 . A reproducing method for the information storage medium according to claim 3 , the method comprising:
irradiating the information storage medium with light; and reproducing the modulation data from the information storage medium.

5 . A reproducing apparatus for the information storage medium according to claim 3 , the apparatus comprising:
an optical head configured to irradiate the information storage medium with light; and a reproducing module configured to reproduce the modulation data from the information storage medium.

6 . A recording method for the information storage medium according to claim 3 , the method comprising:
irradiating the information storage medium with light; and recording the modulation data on the information storage medium.

7 . A recording apparatus for the information storage medium according to claim 3 , the apparatus comprising:
a recording module configured to irradiate the information storage medium with light and to record the modulation data on the information storage medium.
