uReel Hose Holder

Abstract

The uReel Hose Holder is a one-piece device to assist the user in manually gathering a water hose or similar flexible, elongated item into a manageable coil for transporting or for storage. The one-piece device is formed from two pieces of one-eighth inch by one inch metal strips joined together forming a clip and a saddle. The first few coils of the hose are affixed into the clip, and subsequent coils rest in the saddle as the coil including the device is manipulated by the user.

7 . A hand-held device, manipulated by user, permitting gathering a water hose into coiled form while under independent control of said user, said device being in one piece and consisting of a clip (a) attached to a saddle (b), which together form the one-piece said device. 
     
     
         8 . The hand-held device of  claim 7  includes said clip (a), u-shaped but oriented horizontally such that space between upper and lower sides is sufficiently less than diameter of said hose in order to achieve a snug fit when said hose is inserted between said sides. 
     
     
         9 . The hand-held device of  claim 7  further includes said saddle (b), also u-shaped but oriented vertically with its base attached to the upper side of said clip (a) and with sufficient, unimpeded space between the vertical members of said saddle to support subsequent loops of said hose referred to in  claim 7 . 
     
     
         10 . The hand-held device of  claim 7  may be readily extracted from said hose, leaving said hose in its coiled form.
