Cup lid with an advertisement carrier

Abstract

A cup lid includes a cup lid body defining a top wall, an annular coupling portion around the top wall for fastening to a rim of a disposable cup and a drinking port located on the top wall, and an advertisement carrier made in the form of a sheet and attached to the top wall of the cup lid body and carrying an advertising design of a pattern, graphic device, logo and/or product blurb.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A cup lid, comprising:
 a cup lid body comprising a top wall, an annular coupling portion extending around said top wall for fastening to a rim of a disposable cup, and a drinking port located on said top wall; and   an advertisement carrier made in the form of a sheet and attached to said top wall of said cup lid body, said advertisement carrier carrying an advertising design of a pattern, graphic device, logo and/or product blurb.   
     
     
         2 . The cup lid as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein said cup lid body defining a mounting recess in said top wall; said advertisement carrier is press-fitted into said mounting recess. 
     
     
         3 . The cup lid as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein said cup lid body further comprises an annular platform defining therein said mounting recess; said advertisement carrier is press-fitted into said mounting recess. 
     
     
         4 . The cup lid as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein said cup lid body is made from plastic injection molding, comprising a plurality of upright pins upwardly protruded from said top wall; said advertisement carrier comprises a plurality of mounting through holes respectively fastened to said upright pins of said cup lid body. 
     
     
         5 . The cup lid as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein said advertisement carrier is a sheet member selected from the material group of plastics and paper. 
     
     
         6 . A cup lid, comprising:
 a cup lid body made in a circular shape, said cup lid body comprising a surface, an annular platform extending around said surface, a drinking portion, and at least one retaining portion located on said annular platform and abutted against said surface; and   an advertisement carrier made in the form of a sheet and attached to said surface of said cup lid body, said advertisement carrier comprising at least one of retaining portion fastened to the at least one retaining portion of said cup lid body.

The cup lid as claimed in  claim 6 , wherein each retaining portion of said cup lid body is a dovetail groove; each retaining portion of said advertisement carrier is a dovetail lug press-fitted into the dovetail groove of the respective retaining portion of said cup lid body.

The cup lid as claimed in  claim 6 , wherein the at least one retaining portion of said cup lid body comprises three retaining grooves located on said annular platform; the at least one retaining portion of said advertisement carrier comprises three retaining lugs respectively press-fitted into the retaining grooves of the at least one retaining portion of said cup lid body.

The cup lid as claimed in  claim 6 , wherein said cup lid body further comprises an insertion recess located on said annular platform and spaced from said drinking portion at 180-degrees angle; the at least one retaining portion of said cup lid body comprises four retaining grooves located on said annular platform; the at least one retaining portion of said advertisement carrier comprises four retaining lugs respectively press-fitted into the four retaining grooves of the at least one retaining portion of said cup lid body.
