Connector with a container for preparing an individually adjusted solution for dialysis

Abstract

The invention relates to a connector for a container with a spiking solution for individual adjustment of dialysis solutions and/or dialysis concentrates. The connector ensures a contamination-free introduction of the spiking solution into the container of the dialysis solution and/or of the dialysis concentrate and reliable labeling of same as soon as the original contents have been altered by adding a spiking solution.

A connector with a first container for a substance for individual adjustment of a solution for dialysis, having at least one opening which is closed by a closure means, suitable for a attachment to a second container, this connector being designed so that a connection can be established between the first and second containers after placing the connector on the second container, and wherein at least one of the connectors remains on the second container after connecting the first and second containers and thereby identifies it. 
     
     
         2 . The connector according to  claim 1 , wherein the connector has two openings. 
     
     
         3 . The connector according to  claim 1 , wherein the connector and the first container are designed in one piece. 
     
     
         4 . The connector according to  claim 1 , wherein the closure means is formed by the first container. 
     
     
         5 . The connector according to  claim 1 , wherein the closure means is removed by displacing the first container, thereby forming a fluid connection between the first and second containers. 
     
     
         6 . The connector according to  claim 1 , wherein the closure means is a welded film. 
     
     
         7 . The connector according to  claim 1 , wherein the film is released by a tapping means for removing the contents of the second container via the connector and a fluid connection is thereby established between the first and second containers. 
     
     
         8 . The connector according to  claim 6 , wherein the welding of the film is performed so that the film is only partially detachable and remains on the connector after opening the fluid connection. 
     
     
         9 . The connector according to  claim 8 , wherein a first opening establishes a fluid connection between the first and the second containers and a second opening represents access for the tapping means. 
     
     
         10 . The connector according to  claim 1 , wherein the first container contains at least one water-soluble substance such as an electrolyte, a nutrient, a vitamin, a trace element or the like for the individual adjustment of a solution for dialysis. 
     
     
         11 . A combination of a connector according to  claim 1 , with a second container, preferably a concentrate container with acidic concentrate for bicarbonate dialysis. 
     
     
         12 . A method for producing and identifying an individually adjusted solution for dialysis by connecting a first container and a second container using a connector according to  claim 1  and opening the closure means. 
     
     
         13 . The method according to  claim 12 , wherein the closure means is opened through the first container. 
     
     
         14 . The method according to  claim 12 , wherein the opening of the closure means is performed by a tapping means for the second container. 
     
     
         15 . The method according to  claim 14 , wherein the closure means is only partially released from the connector.
